I'll probably never plug it in. I never once plugged my C8 in and it was fine after weeks and weeks of non use. You're all too used to Ferraris lol.

I have never plugged my Z06 in. Sadly, because the car is 60 minutes from my main residence, it hasn’t gotten much seat time and yet it fires right up every time. Meanwhile, I can’t leave my Pista off the tender for an hour…

I am picking up a new 2024 Z06 tomorrow... I did not order it but it is a new car near me in a new color I think I will love the color and the car is ready to go .. It has the carbon fiber wheels and is seawolf grey with a bunch of carbon flash exterior options and is a 3LZ car so nicely out fitted ... I am excited .. I order an orange regular corvette I was told it was built and would be in by the end of December and then it just disappeared......anyway I can order one for list but just did not want to deal with whatever is going on .....

Great news! What color interior? Post some pics as Seawolf Grey is a new color in 2024 so some people may have not seen it yet. I am glad you did not get Cacti, another new color in 2024. :p

I am really liking this car . The sound is fanastic and seems very fast to me will be glad when I get past the 500 miles so I can unlock the 8600 . I got past 100 miles the other day and the red line seems to move I thinks its around 7000 rpm now .. It has a sound unlike anything I have heard in a while love it ...

Have any of you guys done the Ron Fellows Z06 Owners Course yet? If not, highly recommend getting in touch with them and getting on the list. They’re booked but open up new dates periodically, I missed the first round I tried for, but for the second one they gave a pre-announcement of the next date they’d be opening up slots, so speedy fingers saved the day.

Very highly recommended, you get to drive one of their Z06s as fast as you’re comfortable going, and GM gives you a voucher for the two day course for $1k, which is a smoking deal. Just recently completed mine (second time out, did the C8 Stingray previously), in the Z06 it’s another level!

I took the Ron Fellows driving course a few years ago it came with the C6 ZR1 .. I think it was free and I owned one I forget which year it was but it was a great course .. I scheduled it when Ron Fellows would be there so I took my console top off and he signed the underside sort of like a Ron Fellows ZR1...Now that I think of it the owner of legendary motor sports was there also they were doing testing and used the track when we were not...

Maybe I will do it again ....

Larry, I wouldn't go more than a week without having it on a trickle charger.

Great question. I’ve gone a couple months before. Next week I will be up that way, and it will probably be the longest between drives. Maybe 3-4 months. I’ll see how it goes and report back. And yes, I SHOULD have it charger, just like I should eat less pizza, and I should get more sleep, and I should read more books., etc.

Great.. I am considering taking it to my Florida condo I have a 911 there now and it can sit forever without a charger. It is in a garage just no charging outlet available

First, I do not own a C8 but I have owned many Corvettes including ZR1s. I have never had a problem with my car sitting for over a week and it not starting. When I would be on deployment, it would sit in the parking lot for the entire time with no tender. She fired right up every time when I got back too. Seems like guys are thinking the C8 is like a Ferrari when it most definitely isn't. GM has way better electrical systems.

I follow the market periodically (not really looking anymore since I got my Z06) using a saved Autotrader search radius near my home in the NC hills.
I’m now seeing new Z06s advertised BELOW msrp (though there are still some dealers asking $25K+ over).
For my parameters (convertible, new, 200 mile radius) there were 17 cars, and 4 listed as below msrp. A number are at msrp but you don’t know what that means unless you bother going to dealer website because some of those will have a “market adjustment.”
But…to actually advertise the car at below msrp is a new one on me.

Market is definitely weakening, plus the 6 month hold requirement will cause a spike in early summer of available cars. If the ZR1 was available then my car would available in May. If ZR1 is late 2025 then I will keep it until this time next year.

I'm very concerned that ZR1 turbos will ruin the sound. I'm number 2 on the list at my dealer for a ZR1...we'll see.

That flat plane V8 in our ZO6's it what makes it a bit of a unicorn.

Turbos on a V8 are plentiful. A fully spec'd ZR1 may approach $250K. I'll have a hard time with that when I can get something more exotic for a little more cash (used F8 with miles).

Completely agree. At $200k or above, there are many other options on the used market which would be as or more exciting to own. Delaying the ZR1 until late 2025 or early 2026 will cause many current owners to hold their cars when some would rather trade at 6 months and 1 day. The ZR1 will need to be a big step up for me to make the leap.
