This may be an easy one but thought I'd check here to make sure.

I am completing my tool kit for my Dino (#4486) that has power windows. There is an emergency crank for these windows. UK Superformance has 2 versions:

    1. "Original Style Electric Window Crank"
    (206: All); (246: Series 1/L, 2/M, Early 3/E)

    2. "Original Style Electric Window Crank"
    (246: Series 3/E)

My car has a "September 1972" manufacture date on the door jamb. I think it should be #1.

I looked at the side doors and they have a plastic plug of about the diameter of the #1 brass gear. Also, the inside of the hole after I removed the plastic cover has a post that's about 1/4"-3/8" in diameter. I think the #1 brass gear has a guide hole that matches this post.

Anybody can confirm my suspicion? I can't see how the post on my car would be compatible with the rod-like shape of #2....

Here are some pics of my car door showing the emergency crank insert and a close-up of the post within the hole.

You need to locate the gear drive behind the blanking plug, given the year i would say its no 1 version. Stick your finger in the hole and feel :)

I have a repro for sale if you need one?
    Let me know

Yes I feel a mechanical part on the 10AM location next to the post (passenger door). Can't be sure that's a gear drive.

I believe Tony is correct. For my late 1973, #07228, the non-gear crank is correct and you can see that the lift motor just has a couple of slotts where the crossbar fits.

Here ya go, Francois. Driver’s door, Dec of ‘72 Euro car.
You can see both the post for the ‘hollow’ gear on the crank to slide onto…and the gear that’s on the motor shaft.
    ‘trust this helps.
    Cheers,
    Coop

Great pic! Shows the gear well.

I see the same central post but I’ll try to look into the hole to see the gear on the side.

I think that answers the question!

    Thanks!

Got a similar pic of the gear next to the post. That confirms it’s definitely crank #1
