F8 Under-door lighting kit

For reference purposes, I have the Ferrari version installed on my 458 (says “458 Italia” on the ground when the door is opened) and all in it was ~ $750.00 three years ago.

Photo below was taken on black carpet, so the line definition is not as crisp as on concrete, or any other hard surface.

These are not compatible with the 488 series cars. There no puddle lights or wiring harness in the doors. The 458 and F12 are OK not checked other cars.

 

I was going to look at mine tonight, but I doubt they will work on an F8 either.

 

I would be very surprised if that were the case.

I installed them on my F8.

I have them on my F8 Tributo and they work great. 1 minute to install per door.
I have the same on my Speciale and F12 as well.
It's a steal for $32.

Thank you again for the link. They have nice illumination, were very easy to install and a perfect fit. My garage floors do not give these puddle lights the justice they deserve.

 

Just don’t drive at night and certainly not in the rain at night.

They work on all newer Ferraris - 458, 488, F8, SF90. Cali, Portofino, F12, 812 and maybe others to. I have used them on my 458 Speciale, F8, F12 & SF90. Great product.

I have a 488GTB and have looked into it, I have also looked at all variants and US cars. There in no door light in these cars. There are two 2 drain holes in the bottom of the doors but no wiring in the door. Just compare the parts manual for a RHD 488 (top) vs F8 (bottom). Part 22 in the F8 diagram is the puddle light. I am also not so sure on the 812, owners should check for themselves.

 

Sorry, my bad. These light DO NOT fit 488 as 'ohared' correctly pointed out (just for the glov compartement). I did some researche and they fit California, FF, 458, F8, F12, SF90, 566, 612. I do not beleive they fit Lusso, 812, Portofino and Roma. They are also used in many cars for the glov compartment light and trunk lights.
Anyway, great product if they fit your car.

 

Could they also fit 296?

 

Great work @ohared and @348ts92 to ferret out the correct information. I said I would be surprised if the puddle wouldn't fit a 488, so I'm surprised. Thanks for all the effort.

I just purchased a 2016 488 GTB and was googling to see if I could get these lights when I cam across this thread so I went out and opened my door and sure enough it has the exact puddle lights as my 458 and this Will 100% work in the 488. I just ordered them .

So I will have to say No , your statement is incorrect and anyone with a 488 should check their car as they should work fine

The lights in the post above yours do indeed work. Have had mine working fine for 3 years in a 488

 

They do indeed work in a 488. On Amazon, the are stupid inexpensive. But if you are super critical, you will notice the Ferrari text is slightly bowed. They do use etched glass vs cheap plastic for lenses. The plastic ones get really bad over time and the glass ones will not.

For the price, I'm willing to live with the slight bow. No one probably noticed until they read this post. Sorry to ruin it for you.

 

Did anyone buy one of the prancing horse logos in that Amazon link? Curious if it looks as good in real life.
