So a little bit about my story. I had a twin brother who past away several years ago. We are both into cars and have own many sports cars. Mainly Porsches (11), Lotus Esprit’s, BMW M, AMGs When he past two years ago he left me his last car which was the only Ferrari we had ever owned in the family. His 355. I’ve only put approximately 600 miles since he past but recently had it serviced (30k mile) and fully detailed. So I will be driving more.

So here is why the “thank you”. I have two issues with car since getting it back. One being the AC vent selector not working and one headlight not coming down. I remedied both by searching this site. I fixed the AC vent issue by someone’s advice giving on this forum. I forgot who it was but this is the solution (for my vent issue). The battery was disconnected by the mechanic so I went down road to resolve. The car needs to be warmed up THEN when you park it shut the power to the car off via the switch. Wait about 10 min. Make sure the switch is to the correct position then turn power back on. Then turn ignition on without starting car. You will hear the AC resetting itself. Once it stops, then start the car. It’s a resetting issue. The second was one headlight coming down. Yup is was a blown fuse. Put a 10 amp fuse in (which I had). I know the blown fuse might be a bigger issue but as least I got the lamp down. Since this car will not be driven in the dark. It’s all I needed.

Love this site. As a Porsche guy who has lived on Rennlist this site is better. For the most part nice people who are enthusiasts and want to help. Thanks guys [emoji4]

Interesting. Anecdotally, we do hear of fixes by warming up the car, but usually after the reset. But if it worked for you, it’s certainly worth a try (for others with this issue).

Here’s one possible thread that you were referring to:

    Thanks for the update!

I had tried serval time without warming up the car with no luck. I honestly didn’t see either the point of the car warming up but took it for run this morning and figured I would try it when I got back. It worked! Made my week. Can’t tell how excited I was.

First and foremost I'm sorry for your loss of your twin brother.

I share your sentiment with this subforum...when I bought my first F-car, it was a 355F1 Berlinetta...and I don't think I would have had the confidence to own such a car without the community on this subforum.

Welcome to the club, and share some photos!
