Correct- bought by a very astute collector with an eclectic mix in his stable.

I seriously doubt he had it listed at $370 and sold it for, say, sub- $300k within a day or two of being there. Much more likely someone shopping a CS for a conversion jumped on this. My guess is $360, $365. I don't think dealers are coming down much from the $300k area for 10k-15k mileage examples. There are so few on the market, and since they're typically trade-ins or consignments, dealers can sit on them until they get their asking prices. Moreover, as the general market has gone down, I think there is a flight to blue chips, like the CS. I'd say 10k-15k mile examples are comfortably $300k now, then plus or minus for bonuses or negatives. In this case, for the right buyer, the conversion is likely worth the $50-70k ask for the convenience of having it down now. My opinion.

Hasn’t merit also sold a few recently well over 300k?

The higher mileage one at Merit (11k I think) was sitting at $335k I think for 4 or 5 months and recently sold. The lower mileage one they have now (5,600 miles) at $345k has been with Merit for around the same length of time. The Argento one at Ferrari Silicon Valley sold when it was listed at $315k or maybe $305k (after sitting for months at other dealerships and not selling when listed in well below that for a while). Another Argento one just came up yesterday I think, at Ferrari Denver, with just 5,000 miles, asking $320k. The one-off Blu Le Mans (138536) came up recently, too, but I bought it yesterday. :D

Wow, so these cars are really now starting to be almost consistent $300,000 and up cars? Wild considering the current world and economy too. Always minor dips here and there, but there certainly are certain things in life that only get more expensive with time!

Its history has been pretty well documented here. Accident is not really accurate. The registry lists it as a "track incident," but the service record actually states "off road adventure," and there was another note about it hitting a curb. It happened 17 years ago in 2006 with somewhere below 5,000 miles (it now has 13,700) and required replacement of wheel and rotor and undertray and some small stuff, but nothing structural and no body damage, from what I understand. I have found pictures of it being tracked after that, and several posts by one or two subsequent owners or perhaps dealers saying it was fixed correctly and runs and performs perfectly. I've been on the lookout for a blue CS and they are hard to come by. This is a special spec, and it seems the "incident" was ultimately innocuous. Happy to have it and happy to get it at the price I did.

    Can't say I agree but who cares - it's a Stradale!

Enjoy in the best of health - glad you got a good deal.

Blue CS - compliments on your wonderful taste! I have one of the two Blu Pozzi CSs. Tan leather, radio, 15K miles. German delivered car. Unbelievable.

Considering my second CS and came across this one at Merit -

I actually remember this car at the now closed down CNC Motors and what a sight to see when they showed me the car in the service area to replace the horrific door panels [emoji15] and it looks like at some point the dash was redone in leather.

Wow...good eye! I've looked at that far a few times since buying my CS and didn't notice the dash. The previous mods are just hilarious! So 2003!

I had put a deposit on this car about four years ago. When I found out about all the mods and the dealership did not disclose any of that, I demanded my deposit back. They grudgingly did that and denied any prior knowledge of the mods. Hard to believe that, but we worked it out
