I was 30 when I got my 348 TS, which is not really that young, I think the Youtuber Ratarossa was 25. But I remember people people saying I was bucking the trend, by not being middle aged haha. Now at nearly 38, I got someone in a carpark asking yesterday how I my made money being so young, which my girlfriend replied "he's not that young.... must be the skin creams" haha.

Also how old were you when you decided you were going get one?
I was 12, after seeing the 355 in the movie Goldeneye. Then at 14 seeing Showgirls, I started leaning more towards the 348.

My Dad back in the 60s nearly got a 250 SHB for hardly anything back then, but was £50 too short, so got an Alfa Romeo from the dealer instead...ouch!

As some of you already know, I bought my Ferrari which was a complete disaster at age 24 in June 1960 . Significant body damage, totally disassembled transaxle with many heat damaged components, covered with mud. etc. Spent $2,225 which was well over half of my annual salary with a bank loan. Folks said I had taken leave of my senses. Learned auto mechanics on this son of a 54 F1 motor and learned how to gas weld and form 1mm thick aluminum and operate a spray gun (note it was an early resale red). Nine months later beat the previous year's course record at the High Sierra Hillclimb (also called the Georgetown Hillclimb) with a First in Class trophy as well. Interesting start to a 58 year story.

    Best regards,

    Robert

    I certainly can't beat the Admiral's story.

I bought my 328 in 2002 at 34 years old. 21 years later it's still in my garage.

Bought my F12 when I was 33 back in 2021. Just bought an F8 2 weeks ago.

Knew I wanted a Ferrari the first time I ever laid eyes on one when I was 8. Joined these forums in 2004 when I was 16.

first ferrari was at 34 in 1999.
that 348ts was a massive pos.
sold it for what i bought it for and then got the 512tr that i still have today, and is still my favorite car despite all the others in the garage.

i wanted a ferrari since i was about 4. had plenty of sports cars, but wanted to differentiate myself from my parents (porsche and mercedes) so went the ferrari route.

I remember sneaking out of the womb one night and putting a down payment on a 125 S. Once I was born my parents were furious with me. :D

(Yes, I was born the same year Ferrari road cars were born.)

Age 33 when I got my first (giallo 360 spider and I still miss it). I can’t remember exactly when I decided I want one, since I was old enough to read a car magazine and understand what a Ferrari was I knew I had to have one. So probably 8 or 9 years old.

33 - 400i (manual gearbox as a GM slushbox was definitely a no-go); I wanted a V12 (real Ferrari have 12 cylinders ;) ) so the 400i was the only one I could afford then.
