    Makes me wonder if one of the Design criteria was that it could not look good. Good would be interpreted as not sufficiently utilitarian.

    Someone thinks butt ugly was desireable.

    I suspect the Cd numbers are far better than you expect.

    Flush side glass

    Steep angle on the windshield and nice A piller transition to the side glass.

    Flush headlights

    Low profile grill

    Just needs a proper opening hatch. Purposely choosing ugly designs on a national scale to appease "competing" monopoly car companies is a crime it self.

    How about this little beauty?
    The first ever DAF car (1943), a prototype known as the Mobile Raincoat which was never put into production and so remained a one-off.
    Their first production car, the DAF 600 would not be sold until 1959.
