Car starts cold and runs great. Once the engine is up to temp, the cooling fans kick in which quickly drops the idle and makes it fluctuate. More often than not, the engine completely stalls. It starts right back up but if the fans are still running it will immediately stall. Once the fans cycle off the engine stays running.

I measured alternator output at the battery which was 13.8-9 but seemed to lose a bit as it was beginning to stall.

Any ideas? This is a euro F113A. Thanks!

Most likely just not properly tweaked up if the small extra alternator load makes it stall (if it is still a K-Jet without Lambda without modification -- your location makes me think it is modified, or was modified and then unmodified). I'd ask you if the warm idle RPM is 1000, but the dash tach isn't the most accurate thing ;).

That makes sense. It was tinkered on by a local Ferrari mechanic not too long ago and this started after that. Thanks

Yes, your F113A TR is basically a BBi injection-wise but with a better ignition system. Unlike the KE-Jet TR, there's virtually nothing "electrical" (except some simple resistive heaters) that can go wrong in the injection system.

When a CIS car has a rolling idle or stalls after letting off the throttle, its too rich.

It does smell quite rich. Thanks guys, I’ve been racking my brain here. Have had a few older CIS cars but never this specific issue. The car rips when it’s out on the road, just unpredictably stalls. A simple CIS adjustment would be fantastic. I’ll keep you posted.

Just an update. Thanks for the info everyone. Made a few slight adjustments within correct specifications with the idle and fuel mixture and it runs perfectly now. Cheers!
