Other than the wheels having no room for travel without impacting their own fenders, it doesn't look a million miles away from something someone might try to build as a concept car.

Also... the woman in the second to last image must be enormous.

What the article left out is that its the industry power players, who choose what designs go into production, are the ones that have abandoned the sketch designers.

If this came out in the west for under $30, it would put a dent in the housing/rental debt slavery for people to live in.

Yes, but in all the other images, the car is the height of each lady's waist. While in her image, the roof of the car seems to be at knee height.

Besides, with modern crash regulations and generally obese clientele, I really can't see anyone making a car the size of any of the old P3s, P4s, or P5s.

While pulling the Dodge photo, I happened to come across a special 1949 model Plymouth- the fastback Deluxe Sedan which is quite interesting for its time. I don't believe I've ever seen one in the wild. Maybe it was an inspiration for AMC's Marlin a decade later.

From a historical perspective, the fastback style was prevalent in this time period. The 3 box idiom was getting underway but had not taken over.
