Advice please

I have a lifetime friend who has offered to sell me one of his Patek Aquanut watches at his cost . I am not much of a watch guy but I do know that is an insane deal. So I need some advice on a couple of things.

1) How do I get the watch from San Francisco to Washington DC.

2) The band is uncut and I don't want to do it myself. How do I get a AD to do it with out getting my friend in trouble for selling it, does Patek care about resale? He bought it almost a year ago.

3) How do I sell my watch. I have a Rolex Yacht Master (126655) I bought 3 years ago and have worn everyday since. Do I get it polished before I sell it, where should I sell it, things like that.
