992 GT3 are well, known to drink oil. A search on Rennlist will quickly reveal that. Mine needed more oil at 710 miles. On a positive, Porsche alerts you to the consumption problem with a handy gauge.

I'm 6'1" 32" inseam. It took me a long road trip to nail the ideal seating position (comfort seats), but it's basically bottom tilted all the way up, seat back tilted back and then moved closer to the wheel. Wheel at max extension. Hair doesn't hit ceiling and no back pain

How has your experience been with the GTS at your height? Race seats comfortable?

At 6’2” and full electric the leg room and recline were mediocre, I couldn’t take it anymore and sold my GTS- didn’t have that problem in a nearly identical SF.
Race seats for me have not been comfortable
Waiting to see and sit in a 12C Spider before I take the plunge as I do not want to go through that again

i had the same experience with the GTS - I have sat in a SF90 XL race seats and they were very comfortable - the electric seats were more comfortable but sits me a little high since im 6'4". you out to try the SF90 if that car interests you.

I absolutely love mine. I have a 992 GT3 Touring manual with 2200ish miles and a 992 GT3 RS with 800ish miles. Other than the Touring drinking some oil to begin with it’s been fine. The RS seems to be holding its oil too. Both the cars are sufficiently unique to where they can suitably share a garage with my Ferrari’s. Best of all, I fit nicely in their spacious cabins. Great cars for sure. It will be interesting to see where Porsche goes from here with respect to all the electrification nonsense.

The SF90 hasn’t grown on me. The 296 for some reason has and now that the F80 has come out with a revised version of the 296 powertrain at 1200hp hopefully they’ll trickle down to the lowly 296 some of the hp goodness and I’d consider giving it a try

Not at all but you will want a valve controller. The GTS has less luggage space but everything else is better IMO. Enjoy

Zero chance. The 812 platform is significantly enhanced from the already capable F12 (I owned both). The GTS is the best version of the 812, but I occasionally miss my pre-GPF SF that I owned for 4.5 years.

Once out of warranty- is it worth it to go after market to improve the sound by eliminating the particulate filter?

It might be to some, but not worth the hassle to me. YMMV.

Incorrect. If you don’t change the cats it is not an issue. And there aren’t really any issues by putting in other replacement pipes for the original cats but ppl like to carry on the lore.

If you install back boxes and x pipe there should be no chance of any concern dynamically with the car. Which dealer do you use?

The 12C coupe has more leg room that the 812 GTS, the spider I thought had a bit less than the 12C coupe, and being old and knacked I found the spider 12C more difficult to get in and out for some reason.

it’s my understanding that if you want meaningful change in sound sport cats are required. The GPF must go.

Yes this is true but I think some here are suggrestintvany exhaust mods are a dealer issue. Way better to change cat pipe and or gpf. The car is soon out of warranty for most and I would just go do it. There really aren’t issues w a decat setup but some just don’t want that.
