Yes, definitely still into cars but am trying to be a little more practical these days.

I sold the Scuderia to free-up some capital for a rather large project in our backyard for the kids.

Am currently driving a 2022 BMW M5 CS which I absolutely love! It is the most capable all around car that I have ever owned. I have snow tires for it so I can drive it all year round. This car is better in the snow than any other sedan I've had (Audi's).

Also have a G63 which is very nice for hopping around town in.

Took delivery of a 2023 ZO6 and am currently changing the seats in it for a better diving position.

I still have young kids so my track days are currently on hold. I will definitely be purchasing a dedicated race/track car when I jump back into it after the kids graduate high school.

    Dear Justin,

Yep, have been on this site since my son Bryan introduced me to it about 19 years ago when he still had a 365GT 2+2. Sad story about the Petrolicious video. The day after the filming the videographers had another job and so missed out on the two hours I had on track at Laguna Seca. That would have been more interesting than driving the back roads of Carmel. I was signed up to enter a SCCA race at Laguna Seca in the spring of 1961 when McNamera closed my base in Oakland before the race and the Navy shipped me off to a remote base in Turkey. Fifty four years later I finally had the opportunity to run at Laguna Seca and after hearing for ages how difficult the infamous Corkscrew was, I discovered that in a right hand drive car you can see the right apex and that corner turned out to be a piece of cake for me. The double apex turn 2 was a bigger problem.

Did you attend the Arizona Concours in 2017? We had the little blue car there.

    Best regards,

    Robert

I was 35 when I purchased my first and only Ferrari, which I still have. I’d love to add a 12 cylinder Ferrari someday, but family life comes first right now.

    Hi Robert

    Thank you for the reply.

Your story and video was awesome. My daughter and I have watched it together... And not to go off on a tangent...but... after spending lots of time in Coronado and we go to the Midway (museum) about 6 times a year... The 2nd time we went she said... Dad... How do I become the captain of a ship like that.... Pretty neat for a 9 year old to be thinking of that...

    Anyways...

The peterolicious video turned out absolutely awesome. I still think it driving around Carmel is beautiful. But ya... I get it. The track would have been cool too.

Yup! I was there for the AZ concourse!
In 2016 I even took home a trophy! Lol

    I absolutely love your car.

    Late 40’s?

I’d never driven one until mine was delivered. I wanted to see what all the hoopla was about. In the first 10 minutes I found out. Kept it 3 years anyway.

Came close to buying my first one at 40 but decided to wait as I felt I had other priorities.

Finally did it in May of 2021 at 44 years old. 2014 F12, which I sold recently to free up some cash. Though I will have a F12 again at some point,

Then ordered my first new one, F8 coupe, in September of 2021, and ordered SF90 Spider in October of 2021. Took delivery of the F8 in late 2022 and there’s no telling on the SF90 spider. I was told end of this year if I’m lucky.

Got to enjoy the F12 and F8 for about a year.

So I bought my first Ferrari at 25, just about 7 days before my 26th birthday. That was my goal, and I made it happen. Sadly it was a bad car, but it taught me huge life lessons.

the first time I saw a road going Ferrari was probably in 1970 - a Dino and 330gtc. both were at Watkins Glen during the GP. I remember it like yesterday - especially the Dino, Dark red color, knock off wheels Not sure if it was a 206 or 246... but it was amazing. I had seen Racing Ferraris earlier .... and saw them every year of my life until the race was canceled in 1981.

below is the pic of me and the 308 and my Dads old Roaster.... one day I'd love to buy both back.
