Aluminum lucido looks fantastic. I’m curious to hear what it looks like in the flesh. Almost speccd my first Ferrari in Grigio Ingrid back in ‘05. So aluminum lucido is like Grigio Ingrid light- just a hint of gold? One of my favorite silvers of all time is the old MB smoke silver. The first new car I bought in ‘91 was an MB 190-2.6 in smoke silver. Would love to hear if that is the case in the flesh as hues are misleading on monitors. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
You can do everything at the Atelier other than non-standard interior materials (fabrics, leathers, etc.) and maybe non-standard liveries.
Great work as always by Ingenere Would love to see a version reflecting the following differences: 1. While the notion of a slab sided retro 365 Daytona has seeped into the zeitgeist of this forum, I do not believe this reflects any desire or intention of Ferrari for this model. Instead, Ferrari has clearly signaled their current design theme is organic curves above the equator of the car’s lateral belt line and highly complex sculpted forms below the equator. Imagine the Purosangue design language adopted to an 812. 2. The rear will be like an F12 TRS except with more pronounced vertical diffusers in the rear center section, dual monolithic exhaust ports shaped like an F22 jet exhaust, and the rear lights will be left and right sets of Roma esque dual lenses but they will be embedded in the trapezoidal F12 TRS esque rear fascia rather than free floating lenses like on the Roma. There will not be a light bar. 3. Overall, in general, the car will be more muscular than depicted, in order to convey this model’s increased emphasis on driving dynamics, more specifically, fun and agility, which is evidenced by its shorter wheelbase and more taut overall external dimensions and packaging.
I agree when starting from "rest" ie low revs cruising but if going for it and the engine is kept in an appropriate rev range I think the V12 is comparable to the immediacy of the hybrid in the 296. My main issue is I think they're ugly and don't really want a hybrid XD
Non-standard livery is possible, my Pista is Atelier and has a non-standard livery, albeit very basic still.
Yes agreed, I don't want a 365alike. Modern, muscular, sculpted and an evolution that goes from the F12 rather than the 812 is my hope.
I don't believe Ferrari or the factory would assign slots and take deposits before the actual unveil of the car, or am I mistaken?
You're most likely right, deposits that are being taken now are only at the dealer level and my dealer explicitly wrote on mine that allocation is not guaranteed. But I see it as a good sign that they think I have a reasonable chance subject to factory rules/lists etc.
550 Maranello - 485 cv 575M Maranello - 515cv 599 GTB Fiorano - 620 cv F12 Berlinetta - 740 cv 812 Superfast - 800 cv 850 cvs is a real possibility.
I'd rather have a little less weight than a massive amount of more power. I do think this replacement is really going to be an "experience" car in terms of its styling, its engine sound and maybe some of the agility from the 296 would be an added bonus.
Less is more. Less weight is more of everything we like in these cars… Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
from all that it sounds, it's going to be an expensive car, so at the very least Ferrari should make an effort for the extra money
The GMA T50 only generates 670 PS from its v12. And it costs well north of $3m…. I would rather have less power and a lot less weight, but a true engineering masterpiece.
You can expect some styling influences from the F12 TRS and some of the agility influence from the 296. This one is going to be epic my lads!
A T50 we will not get unfortunately but Ferrari will hopefully give us 90% of its performance for 1/6th the price( does that constitute a bargain?) Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Frankly I hope it has none of the influence from the TRS. A fresh elegant look would be great versus something that has an overly aggressive look.
I agree. I don’t really want anything from the F12. The 812 is already a development from the F12, a sort of F12 with more aggression and lower stance. Time for something completely different. We’ll see. We already know some key proportions are different so there is every chance this car will be its own thing.
