Too bloody hot! It's been hotter and moister than a boilermaker's jockstrap up here the last few days! In the 4 day blackout after Xmas, a Gecko moved in and set up house on the PCB of the a/c unit in my bedroom, which resulted in his swift demise, and no bloody a/c for me! $1,000 for a new board, $2,000 for a whole new unit, so I took the Greg option, but it hasn't bloody arrived yet! I might try and hotwire the compressor and condenser fan...

 

$2,000 that's 200 Surf Club steak nights with unlimited times to the salad bar, dessert tray, and a "cap" after dinner throw in the Pot of XXXX, and you're on a QLDers dream night out..........................

 

Pity you don’t have a Mondial. You could run a pipe inside from its air conditioner.

Would probably cool the whole house.

TBH, I don't read anything from those idiots. I only noticed because it came up on my news feed. There was some "cultural sensitivity" training that had to be done for practice accreditation last year - I ignored that, too.

 

Has gen x failed the world as this gen would be running things now? or is it the millennials?

 

To be honest, I do think my generation (boomers) have to take a load of the 'blame', along with Spock and all the 'modern parenting' ideas that lead to kids being brought up believing they were 'special', 'could do/ be anything they wanted'. It's just being amplified now in their grandkids.
