    Can we see your Speciale?

I'm currently really deciding between a Pista Coupe or a Speciale. I prefer the styling of the Pista but the NA v8 on the Speciale is going to be hard to go without.

If you drove them back to back you would find the power delivery of the 458 quaint compared to the pista. The engine in the pista is amazing, sounds great and has great power delivery. If you prefer the styling of the pista is a no-brainer, get the pista.

Here’s my Pista and my Speciale. I have no regrets in the trade. I love the looks of the Pista, but was let down by the sound of the thing. It’s faster for sure, but not many of us here need to have the fastest car on the street. What I gave up in speed I gained in visceral pleasure. I’ll add a Novitec exhaust to the Speciale like I did on the Pista. Whenever I see it at the dealer for sale, I wish I still had it in addition to the Speciale, as the spec was so good imho. The SF90 spider rendered it obsolete in the end.

I've seen that car in person. It's stunning.

I know you’re a big Speciale fan. That’s clear. But you’re forgetting when they couldn’t give them away 10% back of sticker. Even more. Every special car has a cycle. Just saying. I don’t care if pista goes up or down. All I care about is having one. Both amazing cars. But their story is playing out 6 years apart.

Collecting cars has some ridiculous prices for Ferraris. Speciales trade on that site for way less than they do on any other market. Not sure its a good barometer of pricing.

I feel like the entire UK market for high end cars is out of whack.

For example, this Speciale hammered at 287,500 pounds

In the US it would easily get 550k USD, if not more (which would be about 435k pounds)

I would agree except thats only on collecting cars. When you look at proper dealers, the prices, thought slightly lower, are much more in keeping with the continent and the new world.

********. One overpaying customer doesn’t make a trend. In the end, the FAR more beautiful Pista will be worth FAR more in 10-20 years when it matters.

I don't think it's an isolated incident, at least here in the UK it's just a fact that Pista's are cheaper

we'll see though, less speciales in existance + last NA v8 but maybe the pista will end up being hugely more sought after and valuable in the future as you predict

The UK market for the Speciale is also tanking.

Feels like the entire market for sports (super) cars in the UK is in a free fall.

true, both recent auctions were very low prices but still the speciale is still going for a chunk over list and the pista is going for £30k under

the sf90 is the car i'd be the most worried about selling in the UK if I was only keeping it short term though

The trend line for both cars are about the same. Trending downward at about the same slope.

I wouldn't want to be trying to sell a used SF90 on either side of the Atlantic.

Driving one? Sure. Selling one? Nope.
