I love it. Any idea where to get that box? I see a Ferrari logo on it so assume it is Ferrari. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
So, I got decals on my Lusso to “paint” the top black, called a Halo effect, but not sure if the line on the rear should go slightly up, as shown on the right/passenger side of my car, or slightly down as shown on the driver side of my car. Ferrari does it slightly up as shown on the grey/maroon Lusso, but I think it looks better from most angles when down with a slight downward angle. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks. Your driver's side is much preferred. The silver/maroon Lusso version looks like they ran out of paint. Though perhaps they simply didn't want the added complexity of working around the gas lid door on the passenger side? Your black between the tail lights reminds me of the original version Camaro paint on the rear panel between the lights to. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I have the orig gas cover in the orig paint color which I could put back on if I changed it to match the mock up of the driver’s side. I think otherwise it would not look right. Agree? Yea, not crazy about the way Ferrari does it, but when viewed from side angle 90 degrees, it does look more swoopy and better, but other angles not so much. Do you like the blacked out back, and should I cover the top of the lights as mocked up? Thanks for your opinion
OK so the question is how close does the lower edge of the black come down to the gas lid door? If it crosses the gas lid door area then I would keep what you have now and work around the edge of the silver gas lid door. Going back to the original white gas lid door and covering part of it black doesn't appeal personally. I do like the way that the black covers from the top of the rear spoiler down to the top of the bumper. Also the 'wing' effect running the black out beyond the tail lights just as you have it now. Interesting effect and better than the factory look in that maroon that floats above the rear area. Ultimately it is whatever you feel works for you. Just my 2 cents.
If the 2-tone look needs to be done I would definitely go with "driver side" but I'm sure it can be smoothed out around the window line and the rear haunch line as to look seamless. Also in this scheme the rear "grille" might look better in body colour, not blacked out.
Saw this picture from London that shows the lower position for the roof color rather than the factory style. Image Unavailable, Please Login
