What this Dino has is extra soul - here in this forum.

I do agree that leave it alone or restore to original, it doesn't lose that, never will. John held a special place here with us, but in the wider car world? Probably not so much.

Freeman, don't you agree the value is more perceived by us here than the rest of the world, even the rest of the Dino buying audience out there, which has moved from love of the car for what it is when you're behind the wheel to love of the car parked while it (hopefully) appreciates in value. This forum is full of drivers, not just droolers.

It doesn't help that the owner seems aggressive and antagonistic with us here.

Winter is not the best time for a BAT,
there seem many delays working agianst this sale so it ends in dead winter, a pity as May time sales is different

Hello Sergio, i agree. It has never been planned, that the Auktion starts so very late. When i shipped the Dino in the first week of September, the shipping company told me it will leave Bremerhaven around the 10th. and it will need about 4-5 weeks to it´s destination. This all was on scedule plus a few days here and there. I booked my Tickets to San Diego in August, to be at Bills place !after! the the Auktion in the 2nd week of November to say Good By (i thought), Bill and i did not expect the extended waiting time for the new Title and so time was running and suddenly it is January.
As Freddie sang, Time waits for nobody…
    Best wishes Ralf

I think most of us are different in that we really love the Dino and invest a lot of interest and passion with it. The rest of the collector world mostly want a perfect ready to enjoy and show example. For most these get bought and sold without much thought. For us it’s deeper.

I wholeheartedly concur, Freeman. While many buyers want a turn-key "trophy," we appreciate the intrinsic value and uniqueness of each individual Dino. Fred

I feel so fortunate to have a Dino in any condition or mileage. I’m either dreaming of one or fortunate enough to have one! I’ve been Dinoless and I don’t like that feeling!!

I've said this here before: when I used to own two Dinos, whenever I was asked why I had two, I always answered: "That's simple: I can't afford three!" Fred

They had a buyer who committed, but then didn't follow through for whatever reason, from the country that I originally suggested.
