You can backfill an insulin syringe with 3m aerosol super trim adhesive. Just wait for the bubbles to stop and put the plunger back in. Flows through the needle fine. Used that for some bubbles in the vinyl top on my Charger.

Hey folks, bumping an old thread to ask about this dash leather situation. If you can see in this attached picture, this car has some bubbling on the top leather under the windshield. What would I be looking at to fix this?

haven't done it (yet) mind you, but from reading several threads on it, the majority of the cost is in the labor for pulling out the dash. Typically $3500-$4500 to pull and replace the dash, $500-$1000 to redo the leather, Not sure what it cost for the metal vents that Rizzo produces these days, maybe $200+ with shipping?

,certainly there are many who have had this done and there is an excellent video on one of the threads that shows the dash dismantling process.

Where is the car located? The guy that did mine lives in the San Fernando Valley, CA. He’s done several FC’s cars. He’s way cheaper than a shop or dealer.

It’s difficult to tell from the picture but it looks to me like the plastic vents have popped loose (common problem) which is causing the loose leather and bubbles. If you replace the vents with Rizzos billet ones, they might stretch the leather and make the bubbles go away. The dash has to come out of the car to replace the vents.

Look closely at the stitching alongside the vents. The stitching is crooked, indicating that the vents have popped loose and the leather has pulled loose too.

Most 360 dashes are black which is very easy of course to match. My dash was what Ferrari calls charcoal (very dark grey) and the match was spot on.

The reason the dash vents pop up is because the shrinkage of the leather puts stress on the orig vent studs and snaps them off - thus the vents are just there doing nothing. The shrinkage continues without any resistance. Also if you're going to replace your leather - if it is black, you have good chance to finding similar grain and sheen. I just completed a dash that was dark blue (we thought it was black) until i got it out of the car, matching the new leather to the rest of the car interior is a real bear. We finally had to order leather and have a special color match done. This becomes a big job, especially if you do the sticky's while u have the dash apart and then the doors etc.....turn into a 15K job when you're done.

Many of us have fixed the stickies ourselves as well as removing the dash and pulling the leather back in place but it takes a good bit of time and is a huge pain in the ass. Not at all easy If you are not good with your hands so you will have to pay someone to do it and yes, it will not be cheap. I suspect many just sell the car rather than spend that much on cosmetic problems.
