Please introduce me to the buyer or the loosing bidder...
This one must be a scam ?? Advertised twice, a GTS with "chairs" at €179k: - https://www.autoscout24.nl/aanbod/ferrari-246-dino-gts-benzine-rood-1d02d3c1-1cc3-4499-8a3c-349b685df653 https://www.autoscout24.nl/aanbod/ferrari-246-dino-cabriolet-gts-benzine-rood-f599bf53-4070-4c60-835c-6262dac64826
Perhaps due to lack of availability of good-to-great examples. There currently are potential buyers for “good-to-great” Daytonas, but as always, even with dozens available, finding one is difficult and lowering (asking) price expectations isn’t going to improve their overall quality.
It is always the case with any of these cars, be they Dino, Daytona, etc. Not to mention, higher value earlier V12, they will not go on to lower value, art neither... To find a truly "good to great" is oh so difficult, specially when great transparency is needed. Regards, Alberto
“Transparency” has always been a very elusive & vague concept in the world of used car sales … … and that’s why in-person inspections, either by oneself and/or highly experienced & trusted individual is the safest way to avoid unpleasant surprises (which are far more common than most realize or are willing to admit).
not many Daytona owners want to sell at below Dino prices. even the nice ones are slow to move. i knew of a prefectly restored silver euro car that sat for quite awhile.
At cut rate prices, all would want a Daytona, I know I would. So what is the market? Dino? An anomaly... Regards, Alberto
I have seen what needs to be seen. Very real. The buyer is a known person. The wire transfer happened and was real. The Dino was amazing.
And… from the Sports Car Market Price Guide I just received in the mail which pre-dates the transaction…. I know some have given me grief because I don’t post publicly things I know but allude to, but this supports what I have been saying for some time. I am not a Dino broker. I received no funds as a commission. Maybe I need to start doing that because Real Estate isn’t what it used to be.

Better add another $10K to that purchase for a correct tool set and jack bag!!! They may get back $3-4k for the 308 tool kit and early dino jack bag I guess the $1m 246 dino isn't far away.
