Spoke to my UK Dealer Principal. He has seen the pale green clay F167 and said it looks great. Front plexi look of the 365, Rear a departure from Ferrari and bit more Lambo-ish (worrying).

They expect to have a dealer demonstrator in the last quarter of this year.

Not ex-Apple. Current Apple, big tech.
Eddy Cue is also a member of the board of Ferrari NV.

There are a lot of Apple guys in every department. the EV is designed by a guy from Apple, not by the Manzoni team.
I know there's a lot of resistance to admitting it, but it's a new brand that we're not targeting... 167 is the last one for us, the Icona being unfortunatly at diamond price...

All because of one person who single-handedly is destroying Ferrari for the sheer pursuit of money. All is orchestrated by him.

Sergio Marchionne, the bean counter, was like a father for John Elkann and promised him the moon (going public), Elkann was just 42 when Marchionne passed away in 2018. The seed had been planted.

I agree that the EV design has nothing to do with the Manzoni team.

Was the beginning of the end. There are defining moments for every company and this one was it for Ferrari. I am not against progress but the change of direction is not welcome by the vast majority of owners and enthusiasts. Such is life.

For me the rear has always been the talking point from an early sketch I was privy to. Most people here are prioritising the roof as the talking point..

Doesnt have to be if they would actually take feedback seriously. Chasing volume and new customers (at the expense of your integrity) works when there is plenty of $$ around. It dissipates very quickly when money dries up. Next few years will be interesting BUT as long as they make something I like (hope its F167) I will buy it.

Bad seed indeed seems to have contaminated the house of Ferrari.
Let’s hope they break out the weed killer!

Not the real profile, just rigid camo, looks like…
…sadly this looks to be the case as the latest pics still show a bulbous camo over the rear quarters, possibly betraying a Lambo Huracán-like laterally splayed flying buttress. Ugh.
    So, Lambo Huracan-like?

This is really interesting, Manzoni's team lack of involvement with the EV design is odd.

This begs a question. With a 13.5k unit volume per year they can easily sell every unit, so why stray so far from tradition and your base? The digital dash looks like every other car now and will date almost immediately. When you get into a Ferrari with a traditional dash you instantly feel special. Some new designs (Roma) look like a British car to me and I don’t give it a second look. I’m not sure why they don’t listen to anyone. The press, the enthusiasts, so many dealer personnel from coast to coast all dislike the direction of the brand in so many ways. As a hard core Ferrari enthusiast and long time owner I beg them to bring back some old school thinking while innovating.

The advantage to this is that rear may allow for motorized vertical rear window even in coupe

It’s so interesting to me how this pic and others make it look like the driver is a child barely seeing over the dash. The PS was the same way and based on the finished product, you do sit very low. I get it on that platform but seems odd on the F167. Time will tell.

Look at the company's board of directors, Vigna, Elkann who's more focused on fashion lines and bringing Lewis Hamilton to the F1 team on insane salaries, then look at how $RACE is doing on the stock market and no further explanation is needed.
They seem detached from what the enthusiasts desire, yet the stock keeps reaching new all time highs. For all they know, they're on the perfect track with shareholders clapping in their hands

Sadly, very sadly, it's all about marketing today and generating $$$$$$$$$$$$, no longer about cars.

To some extent, they have shifted their customers target - it was always a mix between car enthusiasts and rich people wanting to show off, and the new focus is more on fashion and luxury. As sad as it is, it may be a good business decision if / when new regulations and technologies are going to severely limit actual differentiations.

Again its going to be interesting how long this will last. If I recall someone posted the Revenue of their "luxury" stuff not being all that relevant to the results i.e. making cars people want still seems important. One can stray from your DNA for a period but eventually it will catch up with you IMO.

Differentiation will become styling and brand ‘lifestyle’. I believe this is how Ferrari and other luxury brands will manage the transition to full EVs where performance and other aspects of driving emotions will no longer be part of the selling equation. Will Ferrari follow Porsche’s future dealership concept?

    https://www.porsche.com/china/en/aboutporsche/pressreleases/international/?id=2021-11-12&pool=china&lang=en

“The newly built Porsche Centre under the “Destination Porsche”concept, combines automotive retail and service, brand exhibition and entertainment functions, becoming a real “destination” for Porsche brand enthusiasts through a variety of themed modules.”

There were other ways to differentiate oneself, such as hybridization without turbo for example, and keep a bit of nobility by keeping a V8 ... play on weight and not on ridiculous power.... I would have liked to see Gordon Murray at the helm of Ferrari, it was the best thing that could have happened for us
