Impossible to come up with only one, but I've always loved the Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona coupe, and the Porsche 550A Spyder.

Daytona is somehow modern and classic, elegant but muscular. I prefer it even to the 275 GTB and stunning 250 GTO and 250 GT SWB.

The 550A Spyder is the epitome of a sports car, purposeful, minimalist, featherweight and technical but accidentally stunning. Every great Porsche since has carried that DNA, from the 356 Speedster to the air-cooled 911s.

I know the vintage Bugattis, et al, are the consensus beauties, so it may be generational.

That’s a difficult car to push down the list, but I’d rate the 288 GTO a notch above it on aesthetics. Big wings/spoilers … spoil it for me. As I posted above, an impossibly subjective question.

The bahama yellow 911 long hood in the background is another beautiful car, but I’m biased…

Dang, lots of people throwing up clunkers instead of beautiful cars……expect an FF nomination in short order, or maybe an Aztek, better looking than a FF.

Which ones do you consider clunkers?

    What are your nominations?

True, which makes this entire thread sort of random. I’d guess the standard response would be the E-Type, but I find several of the classic Porsches and many of the classic Ferraris to be better.

I remember being ~7 years old when the Testarossa and 348 were in production and I saw my first Testarossa outside of a Service Merchandise in Huntsville, Alabama. It was red, looked vastly wide compared to my Dad's Porsche 944 at the time, and the huge side strakes made it look like a spaceship - I was awestruck. That was the moment I became a fan of Ferrari. I've since refined the dream car to the 348 as the must-have side strakes car for me, but the Testarossa is gorgeous too - in fact, if things work out for us, my wife might get one someday.

The 550 Maranello is also a worthy contender for beautiful cars, but there's something about a Ferrari with side strakes on it that's magical so I kept my suggestions pretty focused.

    All the best,
    Andrew.

288 GTO is my favorite car of all time, and while I do think its the best looking, I dont think I can make an objective argument that it is when beautiful cars like the 250 GTO and Muira exist.

Really beautiful lines on the xj220 and xjr-15... I don't like the details though. F50 and CGT are the only two with the complete package where both the overall shape and every tiny detail are perfection.
