How do you check for over revs ? the only ones that I know of is some flavors of 911's and the Nissan GTR....
You should be able to do that with a Lenoardo or something equalivant that reports the revs per gear recorded. I am not 100% on this but I sure hope so!
I would think it's the same on a 360, but you can't over-rev a 430 F1. The computer will only select a gear within the rpm range, or simply not comply with your request (if you accidentally double tap the paddle at high speed for example).
That was my understanding also but I didn't want to test it On the Stradale though if you put it in Race mode all bets are off, so be Careful!
The 430 has Race and then the "all nannies off" switch, but even then it won't let you over-rev fortunately. Track test not by me, but a club buddy
Maybe that was possible on the 355? If my understanding is correct, it was a bit more primitive system with no rev-matching. I find it hard to believe that the 360/430 F1 would allow for such an easy-to-make mistake given there's no advantage to allowing it to happen, and there are so many other safeguards built into the system.
I think the previous poster made the opposite point. That buying F1 and converting to manual ensures that F1 system did not allow the car to be over rev. But any manual car (factory or conversion) cold be over rev. But I think only cars which have been raced would ever be over reved. I don't see a reason for doing it during normal driving. When I was racing in my younger days I would regularly over rev engine in a Honda Civic - not loosing time due to gear changing could be huge on a race track (and used Civic engines are cheap to buy and cheap to swap). I would never do it in a Ferrari and I don't think that many people do. Unless they miss a shift, which again should not happen in normal driving.
