Seems like a silly waste of the production queue… They should just offer both GTB and GTS at the same time and make whatever sells….. if they get 80% orders for GTS then just make more of those and so what..… if that’s what the demand is why waste time with more GTB’s that are less desired.
Because the idea is to sell all models to the same people: berlinettas, spiders, VS - the people buying all are assumed to not care about what they get, but there needs to be a perceived increase in exclusivity with the increase in pricing... so more berlinettas than spiders, more spiders than VS. Buyers need to get the feeling they are climbing a ladder and differentiate from the less wealthy ones.
That's the way they've always done it, buy the coupe, then the spider, then the next variant and keep it going. Got to play the game. I don't think any one wants a coupe and spider of the same car in the garage so having both show up within a few months of each other just helps the dealer with inventory to resell I guess...
What do you mean? Are you asking what the base price is? Every car is configured differently and there could be one with 50k in options and one with 150k in options. You could get one that has 300k in options.

6k miles… wonder if this is an ex demo car… …also not sure buyers will get their money back on speccing the AF cars in the UK without lift and a suspension that works on UK roads… be interesting to get more data points…
The UK market is a very separate animal from the US/EU regions. Those are trapped cars in a tough economy and pricing reflects that right now. Not that anything is flying off the shelves here in the US right now, but it's at least a lot stronger compared to the UK market.
ha. I meant of course that they can’t easily move markets, due to RHD. Just in case you didn’t take it that way.
I saw Tom Hartley Jnr listed an atelier silver 296 GTB today for like £330k or about $410k USD. Very surprised he listed it at that much. Didn't have much mileage.
My friend's car also got listed in Michigan. $500k with under 200 miles, only had it for 8 months. No exterior carbon and is an atelier car. He drove his Pista and 812 GTS more. Going to be interesting to see what the tailormade cars will bring in the warmer months of this year. Image Unavailable, Please Login
He's got a Viola Hong Kong GTS coming in a few months. He's got a good relationship with the dealer as well. He's bought multiple cars from them.
Even though Ferrari officially despise flipping, that's what they encouraged in order to increase the sales numbers (they do not want to have customers keeping their cars, they want them to buy one after another). It may begin to cause some issues with the second-hand market; currently in Europe on mobile.de there are 151 458 (Italia and spiders), 84 488 GTB but already 252 296 GTB (of which many are under €300K, so certainly under MSRP).
That's insane. Seems like a mix of trying to not loose money and owners not being emotionally attached to these 296s.
£225k not £330…. List £329. https://www.tomhartleyjnr.com/car/stock/2023/ferrari/296-gtb/ferrari-296-gtb/
£8.7k a month depreciation! ouch! people complained a lot about the MC20 losing money but it's actually holding relatively better than the 296 - partly because Ferrari's option prices have got so insane
yes and pista's at auction have been going for the same too - https://collectingcars.com/for-sale/2019-ferrari-488-pista-7
