You do you. Save up and one day you can get a garage of your own.

I like the idea of the usable daily Ferrari. My whole thing is that I would rather put another 30k on my current 456M than own an F-40 or 812 and only drive it like 4k. I would never trade for that. My car is like a small part of my “brand” — if you will, after years of daily use.

That said, I would NOT buy like a Super America or 250 GT unless i could covered park it. I would rack mad miles up but want covered parking for that most of the time.

I just cant believe when people park their spiders with the top down outside while they are going for lunch for something. You know how many times I've found bird **** on the roof of my cars?

Ironically mine was in my garage which is where the mouse got in and chewed a sensor wire. Exterminator has nuked the place and placed traps to prevent it again.

My Lusso is my daily driver. If I'm lucky enough to have the option, why wouldn't I want to drive it every day?

My cars are always parked indoors, though.

When I had my 246 Dino GT as my daily driver (the only car I had for about 18 months) in LA I parked it outside in a carport in the apartment building I lived in. Usually put a car cover over it but it still got wet, dirty, etc.

When I moved to Europe for a year I kept it on the back porch of my parent's home in Phoenix. It was also covered but exposed to the elements.

The car never seemed to mind but LA and Phoenix weather is a lot easier on cars than most.

    Now adays I would never.

Anyone from Jersey shore on here, for years there is a guy who parks his yellow 355 spider on Atlantic Ave in Margate, just a few blocks south of Lucy the Elephant. Every time we visit it has been there, moves periodically. Also in recent years he has had a yellow C6 or C7 Vette in the driveway.

    Is he on here?

In 1974 I bought a ‘61 Alfa Giulietta Spider from a doctor who had it since college. The car was not in great shape, but is was visibly passable. However, as I began cleaning and tidying I discovered half of the floor was rusty, weak metal.

As THAT happens owners can’t know it since all metal is covered. Canvas tops will not prevent moisture from gathering on the floor metal. By the way, all metal exposed to cold weather attracts moisture every day. Condensation.

I learned a great many things from that car. SG

For quite some time there was Grigio titanio 812SF parked on the street on the upper east side of Manhattan NY. It stayed in decent shape with no dings or scratches ( I guess anyone parking in front or behind were too scared to bump it when parallel parking!) Since body and chassis are aluminum rust is not an issue.
I have not seen it for over a year now so either the owner moved or sold it or it sitting in some Russian gangsters garage in Moscow

There are plenty of street parked Ferraris in London, despite the recent spate of thefts. The most notable for me is a yellow Speciale that’s been in the same street for years now.
