Wow. I thought the 288 GTO was the one modern-ish Ferrari everyone loved. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
One thing is a turbo V8 versus an F1 derived V12. No contest. And the F50 is not that modern. It's in a sweet spot like the 360 and 550 to me.
You had a 308, correct? Why did you hate driving it? Honestly curious what you didn't like about it. I've never driven a 3x8 but have ridden in a few, many moons ago, I loved them from the passenger seat.
But the F50 shouldn’t be on this thread- it’s not a V8. Same goes for the Dino. Is there a thread for favorite V12 Ferrari? There probably is but you should break that up into front vs mid rear. And now that we have another V6 I can see a thread on the favorite V6 Ferrari some day Oh, and BTW I vote for 288 GTO- the epitome of the 308/28/48 cars Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Cool. The idea is my personal technological "sweet spot": The 360, 550, and F50 are all in the sweet spot for me. Others my like older or more modern cars, but I'm 66 years old. Don't care for paddles.
I’m 65 but don’t care for the gated shifters much- plus cars from that era were too small for me to be comfortable-not enough leg room or head room. Wasn’t until the 458 did they comfortably fit me Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
1. F355 2. 458 Italia 3. 488 4. F8 For rare Ferrari’s the 288 GTO would be first followed by the F40. I have never really cared for the 360’s or the 430’s design although I think that the 430 looks a little better. The 360 is equivalent to the Porsche 996 911 and the F355 is the Porsche 993 equivalent. I think the design of the 458 on up was significantly better than the prior two models. I would add any one of these next to my F355.
Best looker and sounding for me is a F355, always. but the insane costs of ownership make me chose a F430, as its somewhat affordable to drive and enjoy, whilst looking better than the 488 and F8 (which both sound terrible too!) so my pick would be the 430 range of cars!
348 is the most underrated. Open top. Mid engine v8. Gated manual. No power steering or traction control. Easy to diy maintain. Absolutely stunning in person; pictures don’t catch its hips and angles. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
