Those 398 mm front CCMs just barely go inside those 19" pentagrams.

 

I want a manual 599 some day. Not sure how or when but it would be such a different experience from my California T.

It looks like as of this week that EAG is going under. They were trying to raise $1 million, I don't think it worked out.

 

That sucks. I feel terrible for anyone who gave them money. I considered doing it myself a couple of years ago. Yikes

Internal management/ownership dispute. Business will likely continue after the current dispute is resolved. Product is well made and tested.

 

The European Auto Group Youtube channel has posted up three videos today. All three consist of Art Bartosik monologues. The first one describes the surreptitious removal from the EAG facility of parts and tools three days ago (Wednesday night/Thursday morning?). The second and third add details. It's hard to say what's been going on in EAG world, much less what the future holds. As the EAG videos' own tag line puts it, never a dull moment.

 

Wider discussion going on over on the general forum about this, including with the previous CEO chiming in with his own words of displeasure.

No idea what’s going on there, but seems like there are some big ego’s bouncing about there. All such a shame, as they did a lot of cool things there. Didn’t need to come to this.

Love my EAG manual converted 599--system works flawlessly.The parts are well made and appear robust. Should be a number of videos out there. If you want to row your own with an thumping V12, go for it.

 

EAG used a cable system instead of the factory rod system. Exoticars in New Jersey uses a rod system for the conversion.

 

And I can confirm that Exoticars OEM Ferrari solid linkage on the 599 is flawless and sublime to drive. No vibration and buttery smooth. Bonus is that it will not have any future drawbacks that cables may have (like stretching over time).

 

I don't post often, but wanted to chime in and say that I'm extremely happy that I had my 599 converted by Exoticars in NJ. Having driven a handful of cable-connected manual cars, there's no comparison to the feel of the OEM Ferrari solid linkage (I feel more closely connected to the car w/o any buffer in between). I'm thankful that @wildegroot and his team are keeping true to Ferrari's original intent on how the car was supposed to operate when you shift it. Lastly, I'm really pleased we're in a place in time where talented people like @360trev are able to reprogram these cars and make this happen for the manual enthusiasts. Cheers

I don't really have that many pics of my cars, but here's one of the 599. The car just got picked up for annual service, so unable to take any for a week or two depending on the shop's schedule (Exoticars USA in NJ)

Pics of the interior and center console? Just curious how that worked out.

 

I only have one photo of that area post conversion, and it was taken by someone else. Having looked at OEM gated 599s, it looks almost the same to me since mine has mostly OEM parts.

My Ferrari 355 is solid linkage. My former Exige is cable linkage. They both can work “flawlessy,” however my 355 feels rifle bolt-like, whereas my Exige does not. Why do you think 355 prices are going up ?
