The theory that Art over extended himself and therefore had motive to steel from the company is understandable. None of the actions above appear illegal (correct me, please) and it still begs the question; what is the specific accusation and what are the substantiated grounds to justify what appears to be an unprofessional and potentially illegal theft of company assets? Before somebody replies 'where there's smoke there's fire," remember this is a common strategy; lots of smoke to create the perception of fire. I can't wait for meaty, relevant, tangible evidence, all these high calorie theories give me gas.

As for taking on investors, EAG's origins as I understand it was as a service shop. To transition from service to product, and scale as a manufacturing concern as quickly as possible, to capitalize on an opportunity and stay ahead of any potential competitors, requires capital. Which is why fund raising is such a common approach to these kinds of business opportunities.

It's not alleged. Art is a convicted felon for fraud. This is public information. There are pictures of his arrest and paperwork of the court reports.

Once a criminal, always a criminal? Understandable to think that way. But proof he did something wrong in this partnership with his investor?

There is something called history that stays with you forever. It's an important fact to take in when dealing with people. I Don't know the situation of his current business issues but sometimes history repeats itself and it has over and over with Art in the past.

Hi, although I’ve been an avid fchat reader for years, I am new here and really signed up to share that I’ve had some rough times with EAG regarding my planned gated 430. Not just in regards to delays of nothing happening but also delays when I put my foot down for my deposit. Although I’m not surprised I’m not the only one, it’s sad to hear about others as well.

Actually maybe i should express myself a little more vs just pretending it’s not that big of a deal. Ive been holding back a ton in regards to comments while I’ve been reading and viewing a ton of members posts and watching their videos etc…I may be a new forum member but I’m alumni level for reading and loving fchat for nearly 18 years.

And I don’t really post on forums much anyways but I’m gonna because I got toyed with a ton. And I got plenty of messages to show the level of crap I had to deal with at EAG. I won’t even go there although I can. Considering all of their cars are high end cars (430s, 360s) owned mainly, I’m sure, by successful business people. We’re not idiots and you can’t fool us. We got to own these expensive cars through running our own good work and business’ efforts. So stop pretending we are simply dumb YouTubers who know nothing about good business practice. This is not high school. That goes to everyone involved in this crap. And I mean the current as well as previous investors in EAG. Keep the BS to yourself and stop trying to cover your ass only when sh*t hits the fan…

First of all, the number of freaking cars in that shop when they had alledgedly scheduled you in. I’m talking like I don’t know 40-50-60 cars. WTF. Do you think we can show up and see all the cars sitting there (mine without a battery tenders) and assume we’re gonna believe you know how to schedule anything in life? Not only that but when you arrive at the shop, they’ve got a dozen or so cars just parked outside all day cooking in the Austin Sun w/UVs just so they have enough room to work inside the shop. Im so very glad mine wasn’t outside when I was there multiple times…God bless

Second, taking deposits from all of us by the tens of thousands, each. Do the math. Unfortunately I didn’t wire mine in trust, so straight in their pockets. I’ll own up to that and will never do a deposit like this again. Whether they used that cash for developing products or promotion or just blowing it on themselves I’ve got no idea nor do I care. But that’s not how you run a business. Not to mention when they claimed they needed to keep their financials level as the reason for my unpaid deposit. So gracious you asked if you can pay later or even if you can make smaller payments towards your debt aka my deposit? Are you for real, im a lender now?

Third, the ex investors that give Art **** for potentially owing them money and bla bla bla. Now that **** hits the fan you cover your asses? You think we care that you had bad business with them? Not our problem. Make better business choices in life. Why don’t you talk about unpaid deposits but no let’s talk about delay of payments to you for a business deal…Where do you think the money even came from? And why don’t you talk about cars sitting in the shop for months and months and months, instead you’re talking about your personal/corporate losses. Too bad so sad.

Also, didn’t you rent or use space at EAG? You didn’t notice what was going on? Please. Cry me a river when you make a bad bet at the casino why don’t you. And maybe the same when your wife cheats on you. On YouTube of course. Meanwhile all of us who made deposits and lost money and lost months of enjoying our cars just cause. Anyone been inside their shop? How many lifts do you think they should have had for that many cars waiting for their turn with a ton in paid deposits. Or better yet, how many techs and workers do you think they actually had in their facility. Take a f’n guess…..

Meanwhile the promotion is at high level. Sure a famous YouTuber wants an overnight conversion consider it done. But it’s a fugazzi. When money is coming in, everyone who’s getting paid or hopeful of getting paid says they are doing a great job. When the truth comes out, yea we’ve been having serious issues with them….good one LMAO.

This leaves one BAD taste in my mouth. Sad to see our group of manual enthusiasts get PLAYED. If you got your car, whether it was on time or not I’m legitimately happy for you. Same if you ordered parts and got them in time. I’m even jealous lol. If you fall in that category and want to say great things go ahead. But please don’t comment negatively towards the ones that got screwed. And for the investors who were part of the business when this was happening, or now, if you want to make it right, pay everyone who made deposits what they are due. And add a fair market interest rate. Even make up for the fact that we didn’t enjoy our cars for so long. Imagine my surprise when an IG photographer asks me if this is my car parked in a shopping centre. Gotta make sure the parking brake works in the parking lot right? How about you at the very least ask if you can take my car for a test drive. Maybe even when you will be taking it. And keep track of the miles you put on her. And no, you can’t park my car in a strip mall lot…I don’t even do that myself and you’re gonna do that without me present or without my consent…?

In the meantime, to the ex investors and investors of EAG, to Art, stfu and eat what you deserve from the customers who trusted you. And don’t try to play us about getting dealt bad cards or attempting to use tears. We have our own issues to deal with including some of them caused by you. Bottom line is most of us can see right through you. Some of the videos are too similar to the Prince Andrew interview….... Sometimes it’s best to shut your mouth because we can see right through you.

Best wishes to all enthusiasts involved. ❤️

IMHO the value of properly converted 599's will not be less than F1's. Flappy paddles vs. the manual experience results in the latter being worth a premium. The EAG conversions with Trev's ECU magic are spectacular. To each his own, but the market will always recognize value.

NGS Dan tried to paint himself as an aggrieved saint done wrong by EAG. Art bad, Dan good? Really? You make the call. Did
Dan let his better judgment be clouded by chasing his big payday either as an equity owner of Gated6/EAG or his commission deal on each manual conversion? (Dan never says when this changeover occurred). Dan straight up mislead this customer about the state of the 599 conversion development to induce payment of a big deposit and delivery of my 599 to Texas. In a December 2020 phone call, Dan personally (and falsely) represented that the 599 conversion to OEM Ferrari type rod linkage was developed and ready. Nothing could have been further from the truth. About two years later I (and everyone else) discovered that Dan's promised rod conversion had been dropped in favor of a cable conversion. While I am happy with the EAG cable conversion, Dan has never apologized for placing myself (and other customers?) in an extended take it or leave it position. He is fortunate that he did not have to defend himself in court in a civil fraud suit--as the innocent or intentional misrepresentation of a material fact which is reasonably relied upon by the customer is fraud in most jurisdictions. Count me as definitely not a fan of Dan's business practices.

The history of high performance, exotic, special interest (you name it) car modification business is full of hucksters, sometimes sincere and well meaning but hucksters all the same promising more than can be delivered. History shows most of them cratering with lots of debts. Its why I just stick to fixing them and everyone in the business I respect does too.

wow, Dan always raises some serious grief!

I've always enjoyed his videos and views - personally speaking, wouldn't have my Scud if it wasn't for him removing a lot of the 'uncertainty' around the cars ...

    but appreciate, ymmv
