New fastest time for Verstappen


Purple is Max Verstappen's colour. The Dutchman is now over four tenths quicker than the Ferrari of Carlos Sainz thanks to his rapid pace in all three sectors.

The new marker to beat is a 1:30.763 on the C3 compound.

 

CL just spanked it.

 

Game on lol! Was on softer compound. Still fun to see.

 

I know it all really means nothing here, but its good to see them showing up at least.

 

Seemed that some of the long runs were pretty flat times without much drop off.

 

Max was doing what everyone believed was the first stint of a race sim with brimmed fuel and C3 tires. The lap times over that 17 lap stint are ominous to saw the least. Looking like they've got a half second on everyone.

 

TL : DR

Are we competitive or is this just another WDC in the bag for RB?

 

Between these runs Max returned into the garage and full loads may have be changed ( Not a true race sim).

I think Max is just going for target times, not outright highest performance of the car times. This is why we're not seeing much tire deg. Max and the car have more time in the bag

 

The story of last season. Time and pace not needed but was available. The domination was utter given that fact.

 

If one needs a 'summary' of testing LOL

Alonso: 19 drivers already know they won't win 2024 F1 title
Aston Martin’s Fernando Alonso believes that 19 of the 20 Formula 1 drivers already know from pre-season testing in Bahrain that they will not win the championship in 2024.

 

Frankly i would be very happy with a comptetitive Ferrari for the coming season.
Which means 5 or 6 victories.
