    I decided it would be sensible to drive off leaving the charger stuck in the door and it ripped clean off.

    Anyone know if there a way to fix it? Tried pushing it back into the slot but no dice (could be a comment on my ineptitude more than anything else).

    You should be able to pry apart without breaking - if not buy this and solder and heat shrink a part of this to it

    Been there done that. And of course it is always the end connected to the charger, not the tail.

    With some patience you can get the black cover off, then pull out the connectors and solder the wires back on to the crimped connections. Its never the same though, I ended up buying a new charger, and now have this one as a spare.

    thank you all for the very speedy responses. Another question from an electrical fool -- how would i know which colored wire goes into which slot once pried apart (or does it not matter?)

    I've had dozens of CTEKs and have sold many adapters to other Ferrari owners. I've never seen this problem.
