We are getting ready to put new tires on our 04 360 spider 6 speed. Currently have Bridgestone Potenza's. Called around to see what is available and there were several brands we have never used so asked about the 3 brands we have had in the past. They advised the Potenza's and the new Michelin Pilot sport 5's are available but not Pirelli P-Zero. Tire compounds seem to have changed so much in the last few years, just curious if anyone has a set of the new Michelin sport 5's and or if there is a "clear winner" between any of them? (we use the 360 for canyon carving, back road etc. no track use).

    Thanks

If the mps5 are as good as the mps4 I would say that would be my choice

I run Michelin ps4s on all my cars. Great for spirited DD, weekend warrior stuff, and HPDE track days.

Big difference between the PS4 and PS4S. The replacement for the PS4S is not the PS5, it is the Pilot Sport S 5. This tire is so far OEM only on Astons. Porsches, Ferraris, etc. Not sure when they will be available to the great unwashed like us. Tirerack only has them in 21" sizes for Astons and Porsches right now.

The PS5 is nowhere near as good a tire for Ferraris as the PS4S.

Thanks for the clarification on the Michelins. Sounds like PS4S gets the vote. Appreciate the help.

I noticed this post from me is incorrect..missing a "s"

It should read if the mps5 are as good as the mps4s I would say that would be my choice

It seems like, based on some other comments from Taz..that is not the case ..so I would still get the mps4s

I have used them and they are great

I just switched from pirellis to Michelins and omg it is so much better.

Every time I drove on the pirellis I felt like that skit from myth busters where they drive the truck on square wheels until the tires were warm.

Okay a little hyperbole but I always had to remind myself the car wasn’t broken, just cold tires.

    Michelins are so much better.
