Does he like to be tickled in the stomach? When I tickle Coco (his nickname), his hind legs move like he's riding a bike
This is Kirby…. He’s about to turn 15… such a good cool boy. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks for sharing, Kirby looks like a great pup! I’ll bet he loves to play! Years ago I had a Black Labrador pup who lived to be 20 1/2 (twenty and a half). She was a rescue and a totally awesome pup! She would run at full speed, whilst I rode my 10 speed bike up to her 20th birthday. After that, she trotted. Cheers!
Here's a FastCAT course. (100 yds. Standing start. Kinda like a drag race.) Here's my dog, after his 2nd pass. (He's going for his "D" class title, now. Covers the course in the "high 8's" Average speed 19+MPH. He's no TF, Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login but he's no '52 DeSoto, either. (Whippets/Silkens/greyhounds run thru the traps @ 40MPH, with an ET of 5 seconds...)
Any photos? We had a purebred Persian cat when I was a wee lad… His name was “Abdul of Miur-Miur.” (Name given by his breeder). He was an awesome kitty! He was beloved by everyone on our block, because he was so friendly and he would jump rooftop to rooftop, all the way down the block and back without ever touching the ground. There were occasionally stray dogs out and he did his rooftop trick to keep away from them until the coast was clear. He lived to be twenty years old. Cheers!
3 cats… 2 pure bred Persians and a rescued tabby. Here’s the 2 Persian Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Never was a pet lover much. Until I came home and a black labrador from the animal shelter opened for me. Pawing. "Only for this weekend", I was told. Yeah, right. We gave him 10 more excellent years. The most friendly, witty, clever, calm, yet protecting animal I ever met. Trusted him with my life. We cancelled ADT. He fought for me twice, which took 5 seconds each time. He was afraid only once, and found shelter behind me. Big, tall version, almost 100 lbs. To the last day I was convinced he knew we rescued him from the needle when he was four. And celebrated daily with us since. He is sleeping now...
Wonderful story, thanks for sharing about your Labrador pup! When I was twenty three, we rescued a nine month old female black Labrador pup from an industrial warehouse loading dock. The workers said that she had been there for several days and with all of the trucks coming and going in the dock area, they were afraid she would get injured. We scooped her up and adopted a very special pup! She lived to be ~ twenty and a half years old! She was a very loving mum to our four Cornish Rex cats and they frequently slept together in one big pile… She was an amazing watch dog and a few years after we rescued her, we adopted another male Austrian Shepherd pup. Friends who were battling cancer and could no longer care for him due to their medical treatments, asked if we would adopt him… They became the best of canine friends and were inseparable… So, for many years we were happy as clams with two pups and four cats! I’m currently trying to adopt another rescue pup after we lost our female Yellow Lab rescue a few years ago. She was only a few weeks short of her eighteenth birthday when she passed away. She was the smartest pup I’ve every encountered in my life and she was so loving to our Cornish Rex cat crew! Cheers!
I've had a number of Boston Terriers all adopted. Every one of them broke my heart when they passed. I know it sounds weird but I've mourned more for my pets than a lot of people that I knew. They brought a joy to my life that I can't describe.
there is something about people that can upset you and argue with and not always as pure and straightforward or as loyal as a pet. I don't know what I'd do if I didn't have my girl, and I don't think I could go on without her.
