I'm not saying Alonso is not wrong, but he doesn't exactly have the best track record of using his crystal ball for putting himself in the best teams.

It's very blunt to say it so early, but Alonso is close to the truth, I feel.

Albon's prediction is such that Verstappen is going to lead with 25/30 seconds and he's going to pit and brake the lap record of the track
to earn all 26 points. That is ominous fate for the rest.

    F1s official predictions.

I'd think Mercedes and Ferrari would take turns swapping who is faster on qualy and race pace depending on the track. James Allison with Merc couldn't wipe the smirk of his face during the interview today so we'll see.

Odd, im certainly not that up on it, but from what I saw, Ferrari was way stronger than Merc.

From all the data i have seen, i would say Ferrari are ahead of Merc in one lap and long run pace. But Allison seems so confident, which is not normal that he must know somethings that we don't.

Yeah, they call it sandbagging. It's normal practice from Mercedes.

It seems ferrari can dial their new car in and hit the ground running where the Merc needs some pontificating to get it optimal. Then again, we have both Marko and Horner stating they know good and well Mercedes are sandbagging bit time, which they probably are. If anything I’m looking forward to the Ferrari Mercedes battle

I think, and hope, that Red Bull will not repeat or beat the record of most wins in a single season in 2024

Vasseur speaking to French television at the end of the test :
    « This is pretty simple,
If Max in his last day stints started with 20kgs of fuel on board then we are in the game.
If he had 80kgs of fuel then we will be nowhere .. »

Don't know where I read it but according to a rival team Max started each stint with 85kg of fuel and low hybrid settings...

If that's correct the season will be a race for third place on the podium. What suspense!

    we'll know next week.

Bare in mind that Leclerc set his time on new C4 tyres...Max did his time on old C3's. I wouldn't hold my hopes up for Ferrari having closed the gap.

Vasseur said they used C4 only because they have ordered it before testing..
He stated the purpose of this was to practice more front grip for drivers with the new car , nothing more.

it's still a much faster tyre and new...the reason for using it doesn't make a difference
