IMHO, I think Red Bull are the leaders and Mercedes are their closest rivals. I think the latter might be a step ahead of Ferrari, although I it's close between Ferrari and Mercedes.

I'll say that Mercedes produce the closest car and do the best in season development next to Red Bull, while Ferrari do a traditional in-season decline, look for Hamilton to find a way out of his journey to Italy fast.

Ferrari did some good in season upgrades last year, especially towards the end.

if it was not for the safety car in Vegas that gave RB a free tire change Charles had the raw speed to win that race.

Last year demonstrated the exact opposite in term on in season development.
Ferrari was better compared with Mercedes.
Your assessment about Mercedes better than Ferrari for the moment is based on what ?
    Allison’s interview ?
Sorry I don’t trust this guy anymore since 2016.
Just imagine Vasseur saying Friday « we are a little better than Mercedes in race pace but they are a little better than us with qualifying speed «
Everyone would said Fred is a clown..
Race pace don’t lie and Charles race simulation last day was very telling,
    Again only my two cents..

    Absolutely
The first stint of this race was the only one during the year where a car was better on tyre management compared with Max and overtook him fair and square..

We'll see where everyone really stands next week!

Wouldn't be surprised if Ferrari is again really fast on quali but RB's race pace, or rather, Max in that RB, will likely obliterate.

My money's on Max Bull. Hopefully Ferrari closed the gap and can routinely compete for podiums and a few wins.
