I have to say, your pretty funny. I made a post out of the blue about you know who. Who by the way , I had no idea was a member here. I have never attacked anyone on this site ( that I knew was a member ), but you and so many others, who by the way could not give a **** if said you tuber was anyone else, and not a member here, someone unknown. You spent the day calling me names and whatever else.

And folks went out of their way to contact this person, who by the way is never, ever on this site, so you all can gang up on me while you all had his you know what in your mouth. I myself am not a snowflake, so I really dont care what is thought or said about me, never have, and I never will, Im just stating facts.

Even after I apologized, mr. strange and others went on and on and on. So get it straight, this fellow who called the dude a moron, did not do anything that many of you do all the time. I never , ever make bad comments about members here, when they do just the opposite to me, because it does not bother me.

I am actually glad the owners of this site have another Silver Subscribed person, its good for business, and I wish all business owners success. My business is highly successful , and I wish the same for everybody else.

It no big deal calling this dude a moron because one does not think the time to replace a shock on a car is not correct. Some of you folks do it all the time, including you SIr.

And I will say it again, if folks on here had no idea who said You Tuber was, you all could care less what was said , it was only when you knew he was a member, you all stirred the ****, get it straight.

Who are you even talking to? Quoting a member and calling them a moron is uncalled for. Period.

Who are you referring to? I am confused. You should have quoted that person, so no confusion

If something sounds too good to be true…

Did you ask them / confirm the original quote email was for both shocks and springs?

(whenever I find something that seems to be below market price, I’m going out of my way to confirm it’s correct. Literally did that this month on an expensive item that was being offered for well below typical price…I called and even asked them to confirm the item with a picture and even asked them if it was new or used.)

Also, “why” would it take “months and months” to get the aftermarket shocks and springs you seem to prefer installed?

regardless of the above, I’m sorry to hear you are having a bit of a bait and switch experience with the dealer…that never happens in the automotive business

(if they didn’t invent it, they perfected it)

I was given a quote, I didn't see a reason to double check anything I was simply going by what i was directly told in writing.

The indy I've used who was originally going to install a KW racing entirely new suspension for me told me it wasn't even available right now and they are booked out months in advance. If it wasn't that I would have had to find a shop willing to keep the car on jack stands and take off the shocks to send them to europe to be rebuilt.

I don't believe it was a bait and switch it was an honest mistake but I made my decision based on that mistake.

well, it seems you hold them harmless for the "typo" and thus (as you have been saying) your only options are (i) to negotiate down the price and keep their shocks installed, or (ii) have them put back your shocks and then wait for aftermarket options. So I get your decision.

Apologies if you answered it already, but "why" did you want new OEM springs put into the car in the first place?

Why did you put "why" in quotation marks?

Doesn't really matter how I hold them, the situation is what it is regardless how I personally feel about it doesn't change it.

I didn't ask for springs they were offered to me as part of the package.

I have been thinking about this today. I understand that you are frustrated and upset about the miscommunication and I agree it sounds like it was an honest mistake.

I will be contrarian here and say that you should be happy. You lucked out. You won! Why? You not only got a discount, but you got a discount on the discount. Not only that, but when you go to sell the car having the work done by a reputable dealer is going to be an asset. You even have a warranty. Replacing the suspension with non-oem components will be harder to sell. I will confess my ignorance to just how those KW shocks are going to interact with the car but I know the factory magnetological suspension is an active component to the car's computers. You can easily be making a thread on here talking about how your car is lighting up like a Christmas tree because the car is missing those components.
Furthermore, it sounds like they offered to take everything off, refit and give you your money back. So you could very well go the other route without any harm to you.

This isn't a restaurant where if the food isn't to your liking that they can simply go make you a new burger. The springs cost thousands. And you know you got a great deal because you priced out the shocks themselves with Ricambi and that wasn't including labor.

My advice, again, thank your dumb luck and be happy on this one. They did you a solid.

I'm settled with the situation as I've said it just is what it is. I wasn't just getting KW shocks for 10k it was an entirely new suspension system with lifters that is a major improvement over the stock california suspension which is known as not being very good in the early years. The "harm" was that it was too late to do that, the car would have been down for months instead of having it done in the winter as originally planned before I was offered this package.

But by your logic if the restaurant brings me a burger without the fries that came with it I should just be fine with it because I wasn't that hungry anyway.
