Red Bull investigate Horner for inappropriate behaviour.

This is alleged to have taken place in UK.
Relationships between superiors and subordonates are common place here, and nothing can stop that..
We have legislation to protect people who don't want them without affecting those who do.
I guess my father was a fault for divorcing to marry my mother who was his secretary then !!! Lol

The 650K was especially laughable. The journalist that leaked that, also claimed he saw the messages...and that it was a sexual related thing. That journo's credibility is completely shot to bits now.

And herein lies the problem…
The ONLY person being smeared IS Horner. Not the “claimant”, not the “leaker”, only the “famous” guy.
Horner’s name/reputation is already killed. Let’s name the real people that started this s*** show. Seems unfair for the actual innocent party (Horner) to get slaughtered by himself.

This BS will never stop until the perps that start it for money/fame/whatever get the same treatment (in the court of “public opinion”)that the person they falsely accused gets!

Don't know if anyone has seen the texts that leaked but the guy comes off as a pig. I can't imagine his wife is too happy.

NM, I found them. If they are real, which they seem to be because they are boring compared to how the media has hyped this.

Summary of the texts would be:
- Horner was flirty/sexual with this personal assistant.
- She would often steer the conversation elsewhere or to an end
- he liked to talk about what she would wear, what he wanted her to wear, and be suggestive about it
- evidently the had phone conversions where he would self indulge.
- She absolutely is not little miss innocent either.
- Instead of quitting or filing an HR complaint, she continued talking with him. Obviously she took phone calls where he was a pervert and didn't hang up.
- There are lots of texts and phone calls missing since he comments on events that aren't saved.
- This all happened in 2023 I guess, and she said things will be different in the new year. Suggesting she knew what her plan was.
- She had already contacted a lawyer
- Horner apologized for his behavior
- Horner asked on many occasions if should could delete the chat logs. She refused.
- She said to him that he could totally trust her, even though she was already gathering evidence to use against him.

He definitely has some tough conversations ahead with his wife. The whole thing doesn't seem worthy of the huge scandal the media tried to imply. Not surprised in the slightest that it was dismissed.

 

Agree with the above. In my view he went above and beyond an employee relationship and acted like a pig. But she was no innocent either and is surely after the $. If I were Mrs. Horner he'd be on the couch for sure. If not worse.

 

If that's true, It would confirm my feeling of it being strange of some one to just make up a story involving Horner like that.

 

That would be true if she worked for one of the other F1 teams separate from Red Bull or RBs, and it was a strictly personal relationship. Since she is a Red Bull employee, though, then that takes it firmly into the realm of supervisor/employee/person of influence or control relations, where undesired contact of a personal nature is strictly guarded and protected. All she has to do is say that the attention was unwanted or that she felt pressured to participate/reciprocate because her job was in danger, and then he is 100% liable for workplace violations. If these are genuine - then he should be done, no matter how Red Bull Austria tried to whitewash and cover up with it's bogus investigation (whitewash and bogus if those screen shots are true and if she filed a complaint).

At the end of the day, as far as i'm concerned there's absolutely no case, no evidence at all behind this whole nonsense.

Very unlikely Horner would ever be fired from RBR over this if it wasn't made public. However, his wife may file for divorce and that will be public and likely very costly. Now that these texts have been released (real or not), his image is very damaged. Ford came out and flexed some of their muscle already, will they again? If Red Bull or Ford feels a risk of damages to their brand, then Horner will likely be canned.

 

If true he’s just a goujat like we usually said in French.
I really don’t care.
Western world is just becoming ridiculous with all of this.
And at the same time Formula One is proudly starting his season in countries where women rights …..

 

What is Max's father's relationship with Horner...is there friction between Jos and Horner about Horner's decisions? That would be an insider's movtive for wanting Horner out.

So it looks like he has been pursuing his PA. He sends her needy messages asking for pics and keeps asking her to delete the conversations. She asks him to stop on a couple of occasions. No evidence of them actually touching each other, but he seems to like her pictures and voice as a way of achieving 'relief'! If I did the same I'd certainly lose my marriage and probably my job. Times have changed. I remember the 80's when it wouldn't be unusual to see a manager with a secretary on his knee, an ashtray on his desk, and a bottle of whiskey in his drawer. The days of slapping bottoms etc are over, but it looks like it has moved to Whatsapp - which is dangerous as it keeps a permanent record.
Unfortunately I can't see how this will make the Red Bull slower. My only hope is that he leaves and that leads to other team personnel accepting offers that they might have otherwise refused.

 

You guys have a lot to learn about AI and screenshotting.

 

If he claims these are false I'll believe him. If he accepts they are real or doesn't comment at all I'll assume they are real. Let's wait and see...
