I never said he would or should in my post. Its a 'family' issue lol. Other than that he is not a notable F1 driver overall. Lance who in the off-season??
Think about it: when he retires from driving, Lance could become team principal of Aramco- AMF1, and later Chairman of Aston Martin Lagonda Limited. At the moment, he is learning the ropes.
It's highly possible Alonso, all by himself once again, will carry more than 80% of the teams points for the whole season.
I am betting its 100% percent going to happen. Stroll and 'growth' should never be in the same sentence.
Is he, learning the ropes? Just wondering if he has ever expressed any interest in business (and leadership).
I'd really like to see Stroll and Sergeant in the same team. That way, we can definitively say who the worst driver in F1 is.
Doesn't that make the team nothing more than a vanity project or simply a joke? There are new drivers who are hungry for a spot and AM could open up the seat for one of them. After a season or two they could become something. Stroll on the other hand is basically where he always has been. Then again he doesn't seem to crash as much so there's that. But I get it, daddy has the gold, daddy makes the rules. Still though, seems like a waste of time, money, and space.
Yes, and a better chance for the team in the Constructor’s. It’s a shame the car dropped off a cliff last year, or it would have been more clear how much Lance was costing the team in points.
Watched the 1st episode of the DTS yesterday. I must say, Lance for whatever weird reason, has a really punchable face and voice. No idea why.
Well I sincerely believe Lawrence’s plan was winning the WDC with Lance driving an Aston.. No kidding.
I believe that Lawrence's dream was for Lance to win the WDC driving a Ferrari. When that dream evaporated he sold his Ferrari collection (great cars) and bought Aston Martin.
Obviously, Ferrari saw something that Lawrence didn't regarding his son. Lawrence thought his son being in the FDA and all his Ferrari collection would give his son privilege of driving for Ferrari F1....not so.
Dumbfounded that Sergeant was retained for another season. He must bring substantial $$$ to the team?
You hear so many people having dreams of this, or dreams of that. Do you really believe all that crap ?
IMO, it takes 2 years to assess a new driver in F1. Most F2 graduates aren't in the Piastri mould. Which driver could Williams have chosen to replace Sargeant anyway?
Lance drove a good race today. Even the Sky commentators said so. Despite being punted by the Hulk and having to catch the field from the end, he managed to finish right behind Alonso. Solid performance.
