Indeed, my bad - there might be a real 288 GTO behind a 250 GTO

I wanted to ask the same before, but then have seem in the background the 250 GTO
first I was wondering why posting a 308 GTS and writing about a GTO, so 288 GTO in the photo with open roof? ;(, but then I saw the real one and beside the other real one. better would have been to cut out of the photo those 2 and post them

Add to that the vintage Alfas he owned, and the fact that he let me drive his T35 #4863 on the oval/ Milwaukee Mile during one of the Miller meets, and you may understand why BB has achieved absolute legend status as far as I'm concerned. :)

Further to my "Where's Waldo" post that garnered so much commentary and advice, I found another picture from the 1984 Marchetti Meet. That's me and Brian's GTO; just wanted to share.

You are right, I am terribly wrong and stand corrected. Very sorry! And thank you very much for pointing this out.

Rendering of 4219 done for me by Larry Nicklin. He and his wife Carmen hosted the founders meeting of the Ferrari Club of America.

From the FCA website: November 11, 1962. Larry & Carmen Nicklin’s house, 4746 Stratford Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana. As likely a place as any to start a Ferrari club. (Larry in the Rosso shirt.)

$14,000 today is $141,680 - seems reasonable for a used race car......

Just to be precise, the first ever Ferrari GT with a turbocharged engine was the 208 GTB Turbo, introduced in 1982.

4091? I expect it was owned by Bob Epstein at that time.

At this point it seems like any car that is not part of a top level IMSA, WEC, etc series can race in HSR.
