Btw, it wasn't fake. IF you watched Pre-Race SkyF1 she was there wearing the white dress in the picture as both Christian and Geri were walking in the RB customary paddock.
Wolff said: "The handling of the situation is very critical for F1. It's not in the hands of competitors to have any action. "We should look at ourselves, and what it is we can do to optimise on all these topics, equality and diversity. Says it all. Toto < Horner in all respects
Our favourite UK source has the following: 'There is tension here while he remains in position,' Verstappen Snr told Mail Sport. 'The team is in danger of being torn apart. It can't go on the way it is. It will explode. He is playing the victim, when he is the one causing the problems.' According to his affiliates, Horner believes Verstappen Snr has orchestrated a campaign to unseat him for the past few weeks, the implication being that the Dutchman even had a hand in the email leak. Autosport are convinced enough to reprint & expand the story
Yep. If there's ever been a team "in danger of being torn apart", it was Red Bull this weekend. I could feel the tension in Max and Sergio...I'm sure I'm not alone in picking up that vibe from the drivers... Except Max beats Sergio by 22 seconds and Sergio beats Sainz by 25 seconds. Yep, they're in trouble. I think Max's dad should keep his thoughts to himself and I imagine Max feels the same way. And if it is true that Verstappen Sr. had anything to do with the last few weeks...that is just unbelievable but, IMO, REALLY far-fetched...
Fully in the main F1 press! Now its a bloody party lol! Via Autosport---------- Jos Verstappen: Red Bull F1 team risks being “torn apart” if Horner stays Jos Verstappen, father of triple Formula 1 world champion Max Verstappen, has warned that Red Bull risks being “torn apart” if Christian Horner remains as team principal. Jonathan Noble Mar 3, 2024, 12:22 AM Upd: Mar 3, 2024, 8:44 AM Image Unavailable, Please Login Christian Horner, Team Principal, Red Bull Racing with Jos Verstappen Mark Sutton / Motorsport Images As a weekend of high-tension for Horner came to an end with a dominant 1-2 for Red Bull in the Bahrain Grand Prix, the situation surrounding his future took a dramatic twist late in the evening as Verstappen Sr called for him to go. Horner has been the subject of an investigation by Red Bull’s energy drinks company following allegations made against him by a female employee. The eight-week long probe into his behaviour ended on Wednesday with Red Bull dismissing the claims and clearing Horner of wrongdoing. Just 24 hours later though, in a move clearly designed to try to force Horner out, anonymous emails were sent to senior F1 personnel, including team principals and media, revealing the alleged evidence at the centre of the matter. Horner has stood firm amid the controversy and helped oversee Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez bring home a perfect start to the new F1 season for the squad on Saturday in Bahrain. But it is clear tensions remain among those close to him, and Verstappen Sr has now upped the ante in calling for Horner to go. Speaking to the Daily Mail, Verstappen Sr said: “There is tension here while he remains in position. “The team is in danger of being torn apart. It can't go on the way it is. It will explode. He is playing the victim, when he is the one causing the problems.” The strong words from Verstappen Sr are significant because of the huge influence that his son has at the squad, as he knuckles down for what he hopes is a charge to his fourth world crown. Max Verstappen was questioned several times over the Bahrain weekend for his views on Horner, and has repeatedly been very careful in what he says. Asked on Friday night if he had faith in Horner, the Dutch driver said: “Listen, when I look at how Christian operates within the team, he has been an incredible team boss. “So absolutely, from the performance side of things, you can't even question that. So that's what I'm also dealing with. “I speak to Christian a lot. And also, of course, throughout the weekend here, he's fully committed to the team. “He's also here for the performance, of course. Probably a little bit distracted.
If he has any sense maybe should just take a golden goodbye of a few years salary (if on the table) ...$ 25-50 million ...otherwise the hounding will escalate.
Toto's leveraging the nonsense for power and so would certain countries in lecturing those "other" countries. Stick to sport and stop the faux lecturing.
I think we may have insight to who’s behind all this. Jos should be banned from the RB paddock going forward. To say what he said is absolutely and completely out of line and highly damaging to the team.
To be fair, Jos is a total clown. No one gives two figs what he thinks. RB did just fine this weekend so if that’s evidence of the team being torn apart that’s bad news for the competition! The only people that count are the sponsors. If they say Horner has to go, then he’s toast. Otherwise he stays.
I think at this point that’s what he’s sticking around for-a big severance package I don’t know UK employment laws but him being cleared in the “investigation” puts him in the drivers seat for wrongful termination lawsuit in the US so stick around until they pay you to go away
Well he’s the best driver’s father. And a pretty close or influent one.. He has publicly choose his side. This would have inevitably consequences in the near future. One way or another..
So, a team principal who may or may not have had an affair is no good, but someone who definitely engaged in spousal abuse is. Got it, Jos.
There some talk that Jos is trying to replace Horner. I am going to the market and buying a load of popcorn. This drama is saving this season, 100%.
Now Daddy VER is weighing in saying Horner must go; Tutu pontificating, Alpine in disarray, Ferrari can’t find its ass with both hands..,,populated by celebritards, greed mavens, ponces, power whores. Don’t show your ignorance of history by telling me “it’s always been this way,” because it hasn’t. Touching seven decades of following F1 it has never been as embarrassingly chaotic as it is right now. There is a complete lack of discipline and leadership.
So Red Bull has maybe managed to create the most competitive team in the whole history of this sport which is a very very difficult task ( hello Ferrari ) and they are just trying to destroy everything from the inside ? Inexcusable.
It’s probably in Max’s contract that daddy has all access as long as Max is in the team. But yeah, he’s outed himself as one of the instigators. I’m sure he’s boiling that Horner isn’t already gone….and he can graciously offer to fill the vacuum.
