I don’t understand the rev limiter issue and how it’s related to the clutch switch.

I dont understand why its a big deal if a car doesn’t have a clutch switch.

Not understanding things hasn't stopped you from blindly dismissing others.. It's rather simple. Art, and let's not let Normal Guy Supercar off the hook here either, promoted F430 conversions as better than F430 OEM manuals. What they didn't say is that EAG would 1. Eliminate the function of the Manetino switch 2. remove the clutch switch and 3. Not reprogram the rev limiter which can cause serious engine damage or stall the car.

Continuing to defend the disabling and elimination of factory functions, which was implied by the term "Superior to OEM manuals", makes you complicit to this fraud, though who cares, you're not important......unless someone says they purchased a conversion based on your supposed insider knowledge which you have not disabused on F Chat.

I called it a fraud and I'm signing my name to it too. I've changed my mind. It is a fraud to claim something is better than OEM without disclosing these eliminations of factory functions that are standard on OEM manuals.

The thing is, if EAG is so great and worth the extra money over the other options, why are corners like the clutch switch and shift tower construction being cut? I think for the brand new OEM clutch switch bracket and sensor I paid maybe $170...

Let's see the switch behind your pedal, in video. You may have it. Doesn't mean mine did or other's did but you've not been honest in my opinion between our private and public posts so I'm not going to assume in your favor. That picture could be very well from a different car.

Actually, that particular feature came in very handy with me when my 911 broke a clutch cable in Stanford, CT when I was driving from Vermont to Washington DC.

I managed to drive the car, without a clutch, through 13 toll booths and stop and go traffic all the way. It's kind of a trick to drive a manual car without a clutch but it can be done, especially with a car that shifted as smoothly as the 911. I sure gave my starter a workout that day!

I'm not a lawyer (although I had to hire one 2 years into my deposit holder experience to get my money back) so I can't say for certain I was scammed. You could be correct Art probably just didn't get around to doing anything business related with my deposit and I'm sure with more time he would have... Never ordering parts related to the service you were paid to provide probably stretched beyond bad customer service but this is all open to interpretation.

Did "his business get too big" and was he "in over his head"? or was he actively promoting his business (making false promises of his capabilities, timelines, and actions while harvesting customer deposits and spending funds on personal items)? In my opinion it's as clear day what Art was doing.

In the end he delivered? Well my saga came to an end when the "Johns" showed up with more money, @Austintxch arrived with a brain, and lawyers got their cut. I'm thankful to Chris and the Johns that I was able to get my deposit back. I'm sure they wished more of their money could've gone to the business instead of back to customers they likely had no idea were owed and to lawyers that needed to get involved to rectify "bad customer service".

What's the current tally of happy customers vs unhappy? Surely we're getting close to not being able to say "most" are happy.

being able to do this has nothing to do with the clutch switch though, right? being able to switch gears without a clutch is doable in both cars with and without a clutch switch.

What? I want to learn. The clutch switch ensures that you don’t move the car forward by mistake while it’s in gear and you turn the ignition on without the clutch right? What does that have to do with rev matching while you’re driving and switching gears without the clutch?
