You know, as far as your Horner comments, that the only FACT is the pregnant partner deal, the rest is just unproven media BS...right? The "Lewis" thread is just filled with opinion, sprinkled with jealousy or whatever. THIS thread is filled with stuff that MAYBE happened, delivered as if it's FACT, which as we're seeing, is mostly not correct.
Well clearly you seem to think your the only one that knows what is fact and what isn't. The way you come in here on your high horse and can dictate. Must be a pretty sad life knowing it all and talking down to people. I wouldn't want that life in a million year. You don't like what said here, say your piece and move along. To be honest you sound more like the labels you are throwing and accusing others of being. I had no issue with your opinion, no issues with you as a person. I don't even know you. But you just keep going on like a broken record. I am not a nasty person I keep much of what I think about someone private. I am not always right, I make mistakes and own them. I don't go around labeling people. But from time to time a spade needs to be called a spade. Anyway this is turn into a drama so I am done.. No time for drama in my life.
Let’s see… I have steadfastly said that I DON’T know what happened so either you didn’t read and comprehend or this is too close to home. Go back and read my posts again. Or don’t.
“Horner believes he can win without Verstappen.” Like it or not, yesterday’s result would tend to validate this.
aka broken record... as for close to home nice to know I made my point. "Steadfast" correct you you DON'T Know and as you don't know. why are you playing keyboard warrior and labeling people ?? Because remember your "Steadfast" in not Knowing. oh that's right you don't know you THINK you know.... You have confirmed don't know. We all got that message you so move on as you have no right to judge what we do or don't know because you DON'T know in the first place...
1st) There is a Button called REPLY. As I am only guessing here that comment was meant to be a sarcastic personal attack at me? or are you attacking everyone’s English here that has made a spelling or grammar mistake? 2nd) You have stated very clearly “I have steadfastly said that I DON’T know what happened” Yet you have labelled, insulted, disrespect and even personally attacked other members that have simply shared their feeling, knowledge of the facts, and opinion here. 3rd) So now let us skip to the chase. I would like to clarify as I would hate to make an assumption. So, the Question is this: Did you simply make a sarcastic personal attack against me? Or Did You see my current location was NEW ZEALAND so you stereotyped based on that, that English must be my first or only language? So that you could make a sarcastic personal attack against me. (this from the person that clearly said they did not “DON’T know what happened”). That would really be the pot calling the kettle black wouldn’t it. Either way sounds like maybe the admin should give you a holiday.... IDK that’s their call. BTW: Regardless or where I am from and what languages I speak. The fact is simple I made spelling and grammar errors. So, what... It’s very clear however I have hurt your feelings with the truth about your behaviour here. It’s a fact of life you will just have to deal with. stereotyping and personal attacks are not how you deal with these things. Maybe best to move a lot or go back to the Lewis thread you seem so hooked up on.
Agreed. Second place bahrain: Checo-RB. Second place Jeddah: Checo-RB. As long as Checo doesnt crash in FP, Q or Turn 1, CH is currently correct.
Horner taking the job or are they promoting Checo lol!! Red Bull will not “force” Verstappen to stay if he wants out Red Bull says it will not force Max Verstappen to stay at the Formula 1 team if the triple world champion decides he wants to leave.
If there’s an appeal contemplated then that suggests there is no settlement, as most settlements include an agreement to to appeal or pursue any other actions. Maybe I misunderstood but I thought a settlement had been agreed.
Just reading the thread here... while I'm not a huge Hamilton Fan, I have met him a couple of times, and Have always found him to be polite and actually engaging. He has his entourage, and his personal protection guy ( who is a great guy ) .... but when you meet Hamilton, he' engaged and very nice. He signed a hat for my dad a couple of years ago, and it was basically me, Him and his protection guy... he chatted for 2-3 min. that was just before the US GP in Austin when he won his last championship. I said congrats on the championship, and he looked at me winked and said "maybe today Thanks"
what would have become of RB if Horner was successful in cleaving it away from RB austria and controlled by the Thai family? different name?
Kind of true, but kind of false too. Williams did have a nice bounce back post Newey. They tanked in 1998 with a new engine supplier and saw an immediate boost with BMW in 2000 and climbed back to being the best package for the middle of 2003. McLaren had the best or equally the best car in 2007 and 2008. Had the best car at times during 2009, 2010 and 2012. Not too shabby without Newey.
There is a huge difference between having sometimes a competitive car and Having dominant cars opening a winning cycle for years. For example Williams FW14B and FW15 or Mclaren MP4-13 and MP4-14 cars. Newey usually delivers dominant cars winning multiples championships in a row. Priceless for a top team.
No question what Newey can and has delivered. But to say those teams declined soon after isn't 100% accurate, or at least they had success worth noting. He had 1 dominant car with McLaren, much of that was down to Mercedes. He was the chief behind the fastest car in 2005 which still lost to Renault, but Byrne's Ferraris were the better cars from 99-04. Immediately after he left the team, McLaren created 2 championship worthy cars. Granted spygate likely had a part in that. Then as I said with Williams, they tanked because of the engine, and once they had the V10 they climbed back to the top for a brief time. As I mentioned, I agree with you in the sense he is a clear asset to any team and when he leaves a team they can't continue to build top level chassis' year after year as time goes on. However I disagree that once Newey leaves a team that their cars go from great to junk within a very short time. Newey deserves the credit he gets, but it's insulting to all the hard working smart people in the multiple departments that create a Formula 1 car. I swear people think he designs every single bit and then goes on to construct the car too. The chief designer may have the overall vision, but there are dozens, maybe hundreds of other clever people that help create the car. I'm sure Red Bull would be competitive if Newey left, as long as their PU was still good. I also believe they would decline. How quickly and how much... good question.
