There is a Blu Scozia 599 GTO out there too, in RHD I believe. A stunner!
Thank you JS, and I immediately fell in love with my QP after seeing it in that color. I too think that it is one of the prettiest and most elegant sedan of all time. A lot of colors look stunning in this car, others I have looked at were the grigio alfieri, or the Bordeaux pontevecchio, or of course, the bianco fuji. The only QP I would ever trade up for would be if I find a bianco fuji GTS in 2012 or 2013. I'm always looking/searching also!
More pics for you JS...haha This is when my QP had HRE wheels at Italiano Concorso in Monterey eons ago Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Kevin, why do you do this to me? My brother had a Grigio Alfieri over cuoio with grey piping back in the day, and although a Duoselect, it was an amazing machine, I suppose another reason why your photos are so nostalgic for me. How has yours been reliability-wise? I have seen a few cars in Blu Nettuno, which is also very nice though of course not on a par with Pozzi, but much more frequent to find on the used market. I prefer the wheels you are now on And I would urge you not to do that trade…. The Sport GTS might be a faster machine but it only came after the facelift and that concave front end does nothing for me and spoils the grace of the original design. Hope you are out for a Sunday drive in it!
JS, although blu nettuno is a pretty color, pozzi is in another league with the lines of these cars. I have 90k miles on this one and it has been super relianle. It ia a duoselect and the clutch will last me 40k miles. Ive had this car >16 years and it was my wifes dd (clutch lasted 20k miles), family car, simple family show car, now it is relagated to a retired car that only i drive once a week or so. I still get giddy every tine i get into it, as well as looks and comments from bystanders. The updated post 2009 looks have grown on me and yes, the sole purpose of gts is the sound and performance. Cheers!!
Oh...wheels, I do prefer my current wheels over the HRE which is why I did the switch. If I am not mistaken, the wheels are the champagne colored special edition gts wheels...I forgot which special edition. And to the original poster, I am sorry for hijacking your thread, but at least it is relatively close to the blu pozzi topic
I am equally guilty of hijacking this thread, Kevin! Your QP is gorgeous…. I hope it stays in the family forever in spite of the lure of the GTS because you will never get another Pozzi Duoselect! I am still scouring the local Maserati ads!
My first 599 was Maserati Grigio Alfieri and I absolutely loved the color! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
More blue and pearl rather than the dark grey highlight in silverstone. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
