Also agree on no shields - placement is off and just feels like a situation where less is more. Nothing fundamentally against shields (have painted on my GTS and standard on others) just didn’t feel congruous with this vibe
I see your point , but I’ve taken the other direction of the larger painted shields to make up for the fact standard look diminutive …. Should arrive next month …..
This might be the only car I would go without shields with but the dealer is recommending I add them.
This is Rosso Maranello, but it will be Rosso Libano with the build. Excited! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Me and the guys at the dealer were messing around with the configurator and when we so maranello looking like this we all immediately wanted this color to exist in real life it's pretty misleading to be honest
For those who already received their purosangue and got the xled adaptative light system (ALS3), is it just the old system that turns the light beam while the car turns or is it smarter/better than that? Also, do you feel that the rear steering system really helps maneuvering at low speed? I didn't find it obvious when I tried the car at the factory... Thanks in advance for your comments!
I am picking mine up tomorrow, I have checked and it looks like I specced the XLED lights, I am not sure how the old system was functioning to be able to tell the difference but if you want me to look at something in particular I can do that for you. I will test the turning circle also and report back.
Many thanks. There have been many improvements over the last years about front lights in the automotive industry and it seems to me that Ferrari remains at least one step behind. I am wondering if they eventually managed to put top technology in the purosangue. Given that it is supposed to bring us the best of the best, it would make sense. Rear steering benefit at low speed would help for a daily use. I couldn’t find anything obvious with the 812c which uses the same independent rear wheel steering technology but I didn’t stay long at low speed… My PS due to be delivered end of last year and should eventually arrive next month. I am starting to read a lot about it!
The 812 rear steering did nothing for the horrific low speed turning circle. It comes into its own at higher speeds making the car feel much smaller and nimbler Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Yes, it works very well at high speed but I cannot understand why they chose not to take advantage of this technology at low speed. It would have been so easy, just a software thing I guess.
Totally agree. I couldn't believe how bad it was at low speeds. I had to make a not even tight turn in traffic, that I have done in so many cars , could not in the 812. Had to reverse and as I was in Ferrari , people started honking their horns ))
