You said that about Horner also.

    Makes me wonder ... :)

With this logic, why not invalidate the whole 2008 F1 championship, or still better, all F1 championships ?
There should be some reasonable cause to support the claim - the cheating was to favor Alonso's race, that it changed all results for the others is highly questionable.

That's why when you call the Gendarmerie to report a thief climbing over the fence they tell you that they have better things to do.

When you add that if they don't come you'll shoot the thief, they proudly say: Sir, if you shoot that poor thief, we'll come and arrest you.

My narrow mind struggles to see any connection between Massa's case and your answer.

Some of you are deflecting and blaming the guy impacted by the corruption instead of the people responsible for the corruption.

Massa's no faux justice warrior like LH. He's clearly doing it for righting a personal wrong.

    As it should be.

The impact on him by the corruption is highly hypothetical - it looks like, on the other hand, he's pursuing a goal in order to get a positive impact (because of the calculation that cancelling the points for all participants of the race would make him world champion).
The impact of the cheating would (unfairly IMHO) provide him an advantage if the race results were cancelled: it would deprive from their earned points other drivers who had nothing to do with it, while he'd get no penalty because he failed to score any point in that race (and that was mostly unrelated to the cheating).

So it's the system to blame then instead of the person involved in such system.

    Hmmmmm.

In what way was Massa impacted by a "corruption", when he was eliminated from the race by a technical failure ?

The crashgate is totally irrelevant as the cause of Massa' s DNF on that day.

Kinda like you stopping to have a bite to eat and getting robbed and then humiliated by police corruption ... and then walking away, like most folk.

This guy decided to do something about it.

He might care should he have to fork over $64 million dollars. And of everyone in this mess, HE'S the one that said (paraphrasing): "Yep, we did it. We knew what Renault did and we swept it under the rug"
He has no chance to not get tagged, IMO.

Of course, he later said he didn't "remember", and laughed it off. I imagine he's not laughing now.

I can't speak for him, but at his age (93 y.o.) I don't think Bernie gives a damn about being condemned $64M.
He is worth $Billions, so he can easily afford such a fine It would hardly inconvenience him.
Anyway, by the time this case is closed, the likelihood is that Bernie may have departed this earth.

Hmmm, I do like the sound of "Five-Time Champion Alain Prost" and Alonso tying Senna with two championships each. :D

So that Ferrari could claim 2 more WDCs: Prost and Massa.

Jeez, these tifosi will stop at nothing. o_O

I was mostly being facetious and thinking more about the drivers, but you did sweeten the pot there with the additional Ferrari WDC.

Well if we're retroactively changing things in the name of justice, that will make MSC a six time champion as he was driving an illegal car and still had to take Hill out to win. What about declaring Abu Dhabi 21 as having finished on lap 57 before the rules were ignored. What about canceling the results of all races where there was a fatality, as those races were obviously too dangerous to have been considered a sporting event. This is silly, he's arguing about a race he didn't finish for unrelated reasons. What's done is done, time to move on.

Nothing wrong has been done to Massa, it's all in his head and those of his supporters !!

There is no connection between the crash and Massa's failed refuelling.
