I recall a very early sighting (picture by Derek) of a yellow GTS—you can make out the yellow at the edge of the A-pillar and the obviously non-visor windshield of the GTS—that’s seemed lightly camo’d but only snapped from the front (and back) and not seen again until the late testing. https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/new-mid-engined-v6-little-brother.595399/page-74 https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/ferrari-296-gts-targa-or-spider.644758/page-3
This picture was posted by STEVEC at Autopareri in 20 June 2022 and he wrote the following about the picture: "It could be a new F167 mule".
In my new rendering i did some work on the exterior. Bright colors look best in this simple, modern design. If the look goes in that direction, I would be very happy. If it looks better: fine! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Amazing render! This is the best one yet! Only thing I can think of is maybe some more flare on fenders around wheel wells as d355 said is like 308 race car
On July 23, 2022 this 812 GTS mule was spotted in Maranello. Since then there have been no more pictures of this mule in order to confirm that it was seen again. At the time, no one asked why use an 812 GTS mule almost 3 years after this model was launched? Now the answer may have been given by Marcel Massini. This would be perfect, means I should be able to get a coupe allocation relatively easily which I prefer while everyone else clamours for a spider!
Your render looks good. It has good proportions compared to the 812/F12/Roma. I hate their profile look. They look like they have a way to short rear. This one has a long one. The cabin is visually moved a lil bit to the front. I hope the real one will be close to this in terms of proportions.
Thanks for your kindly comments! This lights my day... I have worked a bit on the fenders, the lights, the wheels and the colour sheme. The sketches are intended to entertain you (and me too). They are also intended to shorten the waiting time until the presentation. I'm also afraid that we won't see much more from the final car under the camouflage until the presentation. So our two resident artists ingegnere and isot (as dcmetro called them once) perhaps cannot do not their final work and nail it. My aim is to give you only an impression how the direction of the new design could be, nothing more. And if i´m near or ingegnere and isot will finally nail it: fine! Image Unavailable, Please Login
I must admit I was semi not-keen on a revamped daytona but these images are drool worthy. Here's hoping it comes out looking something like this!
Another great rendering! What is interesting is this … you are showing the car rotated 10 or 15 degrees along it’s longitudinal axis, as you should. If this was a pure side view … it would look like a Series 2 1960’s 250 GTO would it not? Secondly, would love to see this exact rendering in terms of color and refinement showing your take on the rear view. Also, I’m sure Ferrari is going to to do SOME type of vent behind front fender or rear fender, to separate the car from Jaguar, Aston Martin aesthetic and level of simplicity and to make it a bit more aggressive, but there is no way to intelligently render that ahead of the reveal. We are starting to hit the frontier of the limits in terms of what we can reasonably glean from the information that is out there and I can speak for everyone by saying you and ingenere and isot have made an incredibly valuable contribution to this community and we all hope the real car even comes close to what you have rendered here. Bravo!
Haha, thanks, but that´s too much honour! Think of all the good guys here in the chat who are here over years and deserve that too. But if you like my latest renderings you perhaps like this minimal overworked version too. In the dawn the car looks really good... i'm starting to like the design, haha! I don't think so. You're very talented and contribute a ton. Fair point! A little recency bias, I suppose. Your work really is amazing though. Me too. If it looks something like this, I'll be quite happy!
In addition to post #7233, the first "mule" that was related to the F167 project is the one shown in the pictures below and was spotted on 3/07/2022. This mule is basically an 812 GTS and in the side view you can see on the right side of the gas cap cover a white string that seems to define the perimeter of an alternative gas cap cover. Great work again. And our ideas are pretty much aligned… except I’m convinced there’s some kind of buttresses which is backed by your famous screen grab of the arial shot of Ferrari’s back yard. I think it looks something like below—forgive the messiness of the buttes leading edge, it’s an overlay issue. Thoughts? I’ve been trying to work out the back myself but can’t figure it out yet—I’ll go into details with my next post. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yes, because we have been working here together for months and are now using the same image of the prototype. This picture is very suitable for the final work on the car. Keep using it! The fenders (1) are more emphasized in your design, which seems correct (in my opinion). This means the car takes on more of a racing car character (and so more looking like a muscle car too). The picture below of the Dino 308 GT/4 LM NART from 1974 has a fender design that is similar to your assembly. Yes, they carefully hide these details under camouflage… The side line (2) will be in that way, wether it is now a notch, a bead or an edge. At the back (3) i think the section over and the nolder will be rather flat (done in my last rendering). This would also emphasize the rear fenders and visually move the passenger compartment forward. The design of the taillights was rendered by isot (great work too). Sometimes, it could be a double light for the break light, but four taillights (like isot) with a back stripe in my opinion. The part under the taillights (4) was and is perfectly nailed by you. And you discovered that first. The exhaust section (5) is good too. These flying buttresses (6) could be right too (and can be seen on this car at the prototype areal). But how to handle it with the GTS-version (which was nearly developed at the same time)? So these buttresses would be a bit more flat, so that the roof section could be opened easily, right? But otherwise: great work! And as I said before: you are the master with the most experience when it comes to the final details!
