Are you gonna push for others to not use all the names they call him? Or are you only uncomfortable of me using his actual name? The only place I see or hear of him addressed as Elton or Hamdashian etc is in this forum--that includes SKY sports and every major F1 website.

split hairs any way you like - you think he's only lost motivation, I believe his driving speed has also deteriorated also; who cares he's slow.

Vettel was like that too. He seemed to lose his mojo at Red Bull when challenged by a new young teammate (ironically, Ricciardo!), and then he did it again at Ferrari when similarly challenged (by Leclerc).

I think some people find you calling him Sir Lewis Hamilton all the time condescending, like if you were treating him in a sycophant manner. Don't you agree ? Anyway, that's the feeling I have, being myself not much in favour of honours and distinctions.

I can't control how others feel about his name or his honors. If they have a problem with his name, that's their problem. If they ignore all the more derogative names people here call him and focus on what I call him, which is his actual name, then they have an even bigger problem.

It could be argued that using the full 'Sir Lewis Hamilton' name is a tad condescending, but 'Elton' etc is pretty childish. I just use the drivers names.

A title is not part of a name. His name is Lewis Hamilton.

Agree. Still what I call him is still more accurate than the names others here say. Hence why its odd that what I call him is getting the most attention. And I still can't control or desire to control others feelings about it.

Anyone that writes that a driver should quit to prepare for next year needs to quit their job because they truly suck at it. A driver NEEDS to be racing, even in a crappy car to stay as sharp as possible. It's crazy how quickly most drivers will lose those very last tenths when out of a car for awhile. Rosberg openly admitted a couple years post retirement he would be well off the pace, mainly in the braking. Schumacher took time to adapt. Jacques Villeneuve was a bust in his return, though he was never good. The only exception seems to be Alonso.
