Road & Track has an article about converting a 458.
https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/i-predicted-manual-conversions-f1.684280/ language does matter, notice I haven't said we've crossed the complete threshold yet. I'm also not comparing trashed story 360's with a properly converted one, just like I won't compare a platinum one with a converted one. has there been a perfect platinum F1 car even converted yet?
Thanks for clarifying because the post I quoted came across to me as a blanket statement. Since we have a thread dedicated to that subject where I have already said my thoughts, I'll just leave it alone. Sent from my toilet using FerrariChat.com mobile app
We haven't seen any platinum 360's I can attest to. However, we've seen several platinum 430's 575's 612's & 599's converted you just generally don't see them on certain platforms for sale because they either don't trade or they trade privately. While resale is important it shouldn't be the reason to convert. This would not be sound investment advice. Converting is for the enthusiast and or for the owners with F1 issues who would rather avoid the absurd expenses and crappy performance. Converting to flip is not the way to go even though it has worked for some. Any 430 or 360 can need $20K of other work with the snap of a finger or the crack of a header, anything. We have seen some recent convert and flip success on the 599 market. But ultimately if you aren't a workshop the general expenses involved in buying then producing a car with no mechanical issues is just too expensive to turn a profit in a flip scenario. Our advice is convert and drive for the smiles. That's the best return.
A little confused here (sorry about that.) You are who again with the company? I was certain it was discussed in this thread, but damned if I can find it. D
and he's? since you seem to be their mouthpiece. owner now? investor who took the contents of the bldg? someone else???
Hello, I just wanted to give everyone an update. If you have seen Art's social media posts claiming to still be doing conversions don't believe it. The videos he is posting are old. Art is a liar, scam artist, and thief. Don't believe anything he says. He is not "sending it" as he likes to say.
Okay but don't forget to like and subscribe, Chris. Hit that heart button. Leave a comment. It's "social" media, not "anti-social" media.
With all the big equipment and workers gone, I figured this. The best he could probably do is fab some smaller parts.....is THAT still doing conversions?
Hello to all clients past, present, future and prospective! We want to reach out to everyone to re-establish a point of contact and bring clarity to the current state / future of the business. As you may or may not have heard, EAG is no longer in operation. The core architecture of the company that was EAG has gone through a major restructuring. The partners, associates and staff that completed the conversion / service backlog over the past year have separated, switched gears and formed a new company, Macchina Motorwerx. We will be carrying the conversion torch moving forward. The team does not include Art or any remaining members of EAG; we wish them luck on their future endeavors. We have a complete inventory of all manual conversion components in our latest iteration for Ferrari 360 / Challenge stradale, 430 / 430 Scuderia / 16M, 575, 599 & 612. ALL AVAILABLE NOW. Any work that was performed by members of our team during our time with EAG starting from March of 2023 to February 2024, will still hold the original warranty on our conversion components and installs. This will be honored and administered through Macchina Motorwerx. Anyone that has had work performed by EAG before that time frame that has questions, issues or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact us. We will help you in any way we can. Macchina Motorwerx will remain hyper focused on Ferrari conversions, whether in house or remotely we provide full support. Meanwhile, our engineers have nearly completed the first Lamborghini Murcielago conversion! This is an exciting breakthrough that will be soon offered to the market. In addition, we are operating a full automotive repair workshop with an extremely talented crew. Our team specializes in all automotive repairs, service, performance modifications, software enhancements, track support, and collection management. Additionally, we are offering custom manufacturing services for NLA (no longer available) parts for vintage makes and models, while creating solutions for niche automotive issues supporting the collector car world. We look forward to working with everyone in the future. If you have any questions about any type of projects, or would like further clarification, please don't hesitate to inquire. We love taking on new concepts. Thank you to all who have been a part of our journey. We sincerely appreciate your patronage.
Chris has valid reason to be annoyed. He can vent as much as you can promote. But I agree with your comment slightly.
See my latest post. I was communicating through EAG as I paid for the promotion and to transition into the next chapter. I'm the investor that lost lots of dollar bucks. We have handled the legal side of things and are open for business.
Another manual conversion team on the scene, who says this trend is over?! Welcome, guys. My 599 arrived at EAG yesterday morning for service and updates. They appear very much operational and alive. No jive.
Supposedly he will be on Vinwiki telling his side of the story. While I don't know the full details of what all went on, I wouldn't be surprised if he pulls the victim card and broadcasts it to a greater audience than just Instagram. Anything for publicity after all. The way things look for him right now are not good, but that could be his way of getting more orders. With enough pre-order money, the whole ordeal could start all over. We shall see. Sent from my toilet using FerrariChat.com mobile app
That's great! Maybe they whomever they is can pay their debts. That would be something special. Being its a new company Shadow Forged Limited under Arts fathers name, they'll just run from all the lawsuits as they continue to do. Who is doing the work? Unless they hired a Ferrari tech is the marketing guy doing the oil service? We are certainly not new but thank you for the welcome Bill!
