I was in Artie's car for a few laps at Pocono many years ago. Best ride of my life!

18905 is progressing nicely. I have spoken with virtually everyone still alive who owned, worked on, drove, or was otherwise involved with the car and have loads of documentation assembled profiling the cars complete history from new including many interesting anecdotal stories. I can’t say enough about how much I appreciate the first hand stories about this car as they’ve been instrumental in making sure the car is restored exactly as it came from Michelotto.

Additionally I have a collection of photographs of the car when it was brand new in the plastic and they detail every nuance of the car in ways I’ve never seen before and all because someone thought enough to take intricate pictures in 1983 before it was even unwrapped.

I’ve got to say we’ve also been unbelievably in locating a number of original pieces of the car assumed to be lost forever. This includes things from the original complete Kugelfischer injection system which came out of a storage tote in St. Croix, to the front and rear clamshells that were discovered in a shipping container in south Florida after being separated from the car in 1984. It’s been a remarkable journey and I plan on having a documentary of the car to share when it’s completed and presented at its first unveiling.
