296 GTS production

I was told the order books were re-opened, which moved me from just waiting to "waitlisted" with my spec and deposit. Will see what happens, I now officially can log into the My Ferrari app and see "waitlisted" every day. It's quite an improvement over just thinking I had no chance at getting one.

 

You should now see your spec in the configurations , that means the dealer has actually put it in the system

 

Indeed I do see the spec in my configurations in the App. So hopefully that means I wait a little less!

 

So now you know you will get a car , the dealer just has to get an allocation and that will depend on them. Time ?

 

That’s great news then. Not sure I follow what you mean by “Time?”

 

I just meant that the time it may take for them to actually get an allocation is how far they are up the list of dealers. The factory does give preference to good performing dealers and that means they sell across the range including special editions . Just to sell straight production cars is not enough for the dealer to be toward the top of the list.

but what changed around 30.March.2024 (as i check every other week) there is a VIN now !

no pics. no documents. no configuration.

How long it could take from the VIN info until the car is ready at the factory?

 

Once the order is accepted and you have an allocation, they send that money in to Ferrari (long before the second contract when production locks in and you go to Status 10). If you get a refund, that is the dealership’s money coming back and they still have a car coming they’ll have to sell to someone else at MSRP. Hence the frustration when someone backs out of an order.

 

How long did it take to go from "waitlist" to getting a VIN? Out of pure curiosity?

 

ordered and 30k prepayment (moves forward since 10 years at the dealer ): 23.3.2022

configuration: 29.3.2023

VIN: 30.3.2024

so maybe xx.3.2025 delivery

 

i guess at soon the order/car gets its VIN - it is maximum 3 weeks until production as also invoicing and delivery to the dealer.

as long there is no atelier involved.

My GTS configuration was showing on the app. Now there's nothing! BUT, I did notice that I now have a VIN number, lol. So I assume I'll be getting production photos in a couple months.

 

It is worth logging into the WebSite and looking at the "My Garage" section. Sadly they often show different status and picture uploads during the order and production phases.

Oh thanks for that tip … both my configuration and first production pic show up on the website but not on my app. Never actually seen a production pic from this angle before.

Somebody mind pasting the link to the site? I tried to log in on the Ferrari site by clicking “MyFerrari” and it lets me log in, but then takes me to a white page with a Ferrari Store logo and nothing else.

 

I had the same problem yesterday, just go through Ferrari.com instead of using myferrari.com. click sports cars and go to owners...follow link there to my ferrari and I got in. Sadly, it still says "Waitlist" for me, but that's what I expected given my relatively recent addition to order queue.

 

The deposit on the SP3 Daytona is much higher and there are two totaling 40% of the car cost.

Does anyone have information on whether or not their fresh order was given a 2025 vin or is it still 2024? I understand production is still 2024 model year but new vins assigned might be going into 2025 production model year...

If you have a 10G code from your dealer confirmed it will be a ‘24 car .

 

I just submitted order yesterday and gave second deposit. I was pushing to get a 2025 car and delaying my order until around summer, but I think a lot of people are bailing on their orders so they were pushy to get me in someone elses slot I assume. I was told it will "95% chance it's a 2025" but I'm skeptical.

I guess wait and see when VIN is assigned.
