Need some expertise here folks. Was out for a leisurely drive in my 360 F1, and after about an hour we noticed a long sustained beep or alarm-like sound coming from the engine bay, would cut off for a moment with every gear change and come back on. No errors on the dash and car drove fine. Went on for about 10 min and then just stopped. Sounded like when you leave the bar fridge door open too long. Any ideas what that was? I didn’t think there were be any audible alarms in the engine bay? Thanks for your thoughts about this

Could be the noise made by the safety valve (max pressure valve) in the F1 hydraulic power unit.
This valve releives the pressure when the pump is actuated for too long (eg. stuck relay) and generates such a buzzing noise.
Would be consistent with the fact that the noise cuts off during gear changes.

    Change the F1 relay.
If possible look at F1 pressure evolution with a diag tool. A failing pressure sensor could also be the cause.

Thanks for tips. @flash32 I’m certain it wasn’t inside the cabin, noise quieter with windows rolled up. @eric355 I’m leaning towards your assumption. I think I read an article that the Factory relay was a common failure? Where can I buy?

    I found that Ricambi has a 40A upgraded version: 155437A F1 RELAY
