Hoping someone in Colorado can help me

Hey guys! Let me know if something like this is frowned upon, I apologize in advance if it is.

I'm reaching out in hopes that someone in Colorado would be willing to help me a little. I'm about 6-8 months away from being able to purchase my first high-end car. I've been attempting to weigh my options in a few cars depending how budget pans out, I've been looking at the 570s/600lt, 488 gtb, and am waiting on Lotus Denver to get an Emira in so I can test drive that as well.

My serious issue is that last point, I want to at least drive said vehicles first so I can feel which one fits me the way I want it to. With that in mind I've tried to go through more conventional avenues and visit the dealer since they have a 488 gtb, but outside of being able to simply sit in it, I can't drive it. I feel like the dealer is potentially looking at me as if I'm just another person that wants to beat up a car and never be seen again. I drove the 488 pista in Italy a year ago and fell in love, but those prices are way out of my budget.

I wanted to reach out to you all and see if there would be anyone available that would be gracious enough to help me out in the test drive process. I very much understand that a brand new member immediately posting about wanting to drive someone else's vehicle is a bit of a stretch, but I'm out of options so I figured I'd try anyway. I'm not looking for a "let me borrow your car for a few hours and just trust me" situation, I just want to feel it out for 10 or 15 min, along with yourself, to get a baseline for it in general. Any possibility that one of you would be willing to help me out with a 488 gtb?

Just as an FYI I'm not a bot or something, I made a similar post in Mclaren forums so if you frequent them as well and see the same post, it's still just me!

I just spoke with them a few days ago, they're getting their first 6 Emira in on Tuesday is what I was told but all of them are spoken for already so I can't drive them. He did say he would call me when they get their demo emira in though so I'm thankful for that. Thanks for the heads up my dude.

 

Understood, I genuinely appreciate your input and not just flaming me to death for my inquisition. I'll look in to that once I'm back from Iceland in a few weeks.

I've actually found myself looking at those as well due to potential turbo issues on the 488's, so I may reach out to that one to rent and drive. Thanks!
